Not sure if it worth it. If I booked online they cannot deny me because I am foreigner? Is there advantage booking online?

Since all pics have been touched up, alternatively I can walk-in and tip the front desk and ask for a recommendation.

Does booking online get me bypass the foreigner check?

I speak 0 Japanese. Maybe just things like hello thank you bye.
It should be obvious then that you shouldn't bother with a website that's completely in japanese and where they are accustomed to dealing with Japanese (or Japanese speaking) clients entirely.

If you don't want to chance a walk in then find an English savvy provider using the search bar and reach out to her on Twitter. End of story.

They absolutely can, and they totally will if they are a shop that doesn't allow foreigners to begin with.
Is there advantage booking online?
Not really, since most of the shops require a confirmation phone call regardless.

You can always ask the front desk for a recommendation. They will recommend whatever girl is available immediately that doesn't have any appointments.

No, see the above about confirmation phone calls.

And seriously - don't try to game the system. At best, you'll have wasted your time. At worst, you may find yourself in a position where a shop "fines" you a large amount, with collection services offered by some of the more antisocial members of Japanese society.

This sounds absolutely scary. One of the reasons I was always upfront when talking to the providers on my status as a foreigner and my skin color just so there are no misconceptions. Cause I have heard things on guys being roughed up for attempting to scam the servicers.

In the case of you and other English-only players there is only ONE reason to register a CityHeaven account: To see MyGirl pictures in the girl’s diary and wank.

If you don’t know what you’re doing with reservations you could end up banning a shop not just for yourself but all of us, too.

Brother I’ve seen your posts and you’ve been given the avenues you must accept: TAG Indie, Sugamo Pink Salons, or Asian Mystique. Please stop trying to sneak past the language barrier thinking we’re all a bunch of gatekeepers.

Getting a Japanese phone won’t help at all if you don’t speak Japanese. Booking through Cityheaven then trying to get past phone call screening with well rehearsed or prompted translation might work, but when you show up and the shop won’t let you in after all, or the lady complains about you once session starts you’ll be banned and so will other gaijin. Stick with the well known gaijin friendly English only shops and you’ll still have a great time. You can also try boots on the ground in Dogenzaka at night, avoid the Chinese streetwalkers offering direct services, talk to Japanese touts or pop into some of the pay booths, you’ll be rejected at some but you’re bound to find some gaijin friendly English speaking shops. I did this recently, and funny enough I found an English speaking gaijin only booth manned by a Filipino Tencho, and once they found out I could speak Japanese, immediately got turned away!!! In short, there are no shortcuts using a Japanese phone number. Advice: learn basic Japanese.

Thanks for this, i was hoping to buy mobal as an esim just so i can text/call with japanese providers. Based from the multiple feedbacks , i wont be using mobal after all.

Lollll

Why are people like this?

Dude there's so much too choose in Japan. Including hundreds of excellent gaijin friendly services you are leaving on the table.

Why try to game system, waste everybody's time (your, shop staff, girl, taxi, TAG) to do something with 99% chance of getting nowhere or ending pretty bad.

It's brutal.

Appreciate all the suggestions above. I think I would stick with foreigner friendly shops and maybe book via Whatsapp or just walk-in

I think easiest is talking to the girl herself, if she has a LINE to take reservations.

Also depending what else you are doing in Japan getting a phone number can be handy for restaurants reservations, buying tickets to things, etc...

And the girl is going to ask for a phone number and OP’s extent to Japanese is hello and goodbye, so he wouldn’t be able to communicate anyway. We’ve gone full circle

Hime yoyaku does usually not require a phone call.

My experience was different. Nearly all SL hime yoyaku and also regular delivery booking required calls to confirm. Some ask to call 3 times:
  • same day when hime yoyaku is made with girl, but later business hour
  • one day before appointment
  • one hour before appointment

They add you as a customer and use caller ID so they know it's you calling. Can simply say -hey it's me John, I'm calling to confirm the appointment day x at x pm

None of segretario, etoile, or club39 asked. I mean I guess they are well known foreign friendly ones tho. If you branch out more probably expect to call.

Did they have a reservation template on their line/twitter? The only time I was told that I didn’t need to call was the one time I couldn’t find a template, so I just reused one I’ve used for a different girl

I just talked with the girl(s) in all these cases, even offered up a phone number without them asking. But all communication done with the girl over messages. Since I told them I don't really speak Japanese maybe thats why.

Honestly its remarkable I have never gotten a call from a shop before, but that will be an embarrassing day. I should really go study some more.

Same as @qcryp. I've never had to call anyone, either booking with the shop via their official LINE or direct with a girl. But even the ones with a form response, I always put a note at the end that I am a visiting foreigner with only light Japanese conversational ability. Never been turned down and never been asked to call yet.
