Ww: TAG newbie, Old Tokyo hand

Greetings TAGers,

Although it appears to be a fairly quiet forum (at least lately) based on poking around a bit, I'm delighted to find the TAG site/community. I just stumbled across it while trying to track down something/someplace else online. How long has TAG been around?

A little about me: I live in the US but spend lots of time in Japan, mostly Tokyo. Typically I am in-country a few times per year and for a few weeks or more each time. I guess I am currently averaging close to two months total per year, and it is likely to be 4-5 months during 2011 if all goes as planned. I first visited almost 25 years ago and have been there in most years since, every year since the mid-90s in fact. The fraction of my time spent in Tokyo fluctuates a good deal from year to year but has been gradually increasing on average for a long time.

I have "played" in the Tokyo commercial sex scene(s) for over 20 years and have at least briefly dabbled in pretty much all of its many venues and manifestations that gaijin can access and of which I am aware. In some my involvement has been well north of dabbling. In recent years I've mostly settled into a few fairly stable/regular situations, so I'm probably not going to be a very good source of current info, but I'm happy to share what I do know.

Are there many/any provider/escort members active here? Imo, that is one of the things that makes forums of this sort the most useful and engaging.

TAG is a relatively new site, we've only been around for about year. We have a few regular members with lots of people passing through. This site was built in response to the censorship and nepotism of some other similar sites for Japan. We are working to make things more attractive, but the best thing that attracts regular visitors is good content. Steadily, but surely, we are building a good review base as well as other general topics.

We would be happy to have you share any info you are willing to. Don't be shy! The regular mods and management team post fairly often and I try to make time to be involved as well.

I know that escorts and agencies read our site but they generally don't post. I'm sure they appreciate the feedback that eventually helps them shape their services to better meet foreigners needs.

The rules are set so that we keep an open environment but also in such a way to keep spammers out and the good members in. We are of course open to suggestions!

We've never advertised this site anywhere, most everyone that comes here is either via a search engine or word-of-mouth.

Seems like a nice place that really only needs a few more active participants to take off. Maybe it would be good to advertise it a bit? Exchange banner links with some other relevant sites or whatever.

I arrived back in Tokyo last night and, aside from the jetlag and other effects of the snow-delayed flight from NYC, it is a great feeling as usual. I'm posting in part as a way of trying to stay awake until a more reasonable bedtime...thus the sooner to get my clock in synch.

This thread was the best place I could see to make this post, but I guess it doesn't actually fit very well with "introductions".

Thanks for noticing my absence and the welcome back.

Maybe I should mention that you are likely to see the same pattern in the future, i.e., periods of posting a lot mixed with periods of posting little or none. That has long been my MO on many boards of many sorts. You could say I wwander around the boards as well as the world.
