Yoshiwara Soapland Spreadsheet and Discussion Thread (Updated March 2025)

Just going to leave this here since we were talking about host.

I'm not saying for sure that she's lying but the denials often have me thinking the lady doth protest too much.

Plenty of providers who've told me unprompted that they don't like hosts and would never go to one also appear to have intricate knowledge of hosts…

Yeah i didn't want to say anything but I got this vibe as well! She looks like the stereotypical girl who likes to party in kabukicho from her profile picture. Even if she is not hooked on host herself, it would be weird if none of her friends are.

in a way I think government did a good job on this.

although as fuzoku user, I am the last person to ask about moral advice, but knowing the loop between host and fuzoku is giving bad taste.

honestly they should just put age limit to all these establishment like 25 above or something.

so with the crackdown, we will be expecting providers scarcity?

As we've already seen, a lot of the girls are just shifting to other shops in the same areas.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if some of the owners are making arranged staff trades based on girls' popularity etc. - the owners in the districts basically know each other and work together to a large degree.

Why would men be allowed to p4p but women would not be?

I think it's great that Japan has some services for women as well.

I don't think there is a point in an age restriction, it's often the old ladies who are the most delusional in host clubs, haha.

noone saying women is not allowed to p4p.

age restriction works on some level in many cases or establishments.

I am sorry some organization use the loophole and exploits many young women and put bad reputation on the thing you enjoy.

if the government crackdown fuzoku some day I wont bad mouth on them much.

I mean, like you said, mongers are not really in a position to morally judge. If the p4p world is supposedly exploitive, set an example by not participating yourself. No need to wait for the government to shut something down that's the bread and butter and last hope for many workers.

A lot of these women are a real pain in the ass, they would make debts on purpose and then run off and not pay them. (I have seen girls I hung out with do this first hand.) I guess at some point they switched to calling the police if they didn't want to pay their debt instead of running away.
That's not said there are not heartbreaking stories out there where the victim really could not help it, but I have a feeling other people with debts used these stories and are jumping on the bandwagon to not have to pay off their debts now.

In a perfect world no one should be able to rack up debt in establishments of the kind.

I can't choose to pay later at soaplands or DHs. Same thing should apply at other entertainment establishments.

I mean that's fair, but there are plenty of similar or worse things, like gambling. Which Japan wants to legalize!

And I think they have basically already reformed this and gotten rid of urikake (tabs) in host clubs.

Allowing young girls (or anyone really) to use addictive services on credit is so irresponsible.
I mean, credit card companies in general prey on young people as well.

I don't make loans, but if I made them I would make it my first priority to pay them off.

never understood why government allow paylater where credit card cash out feature already quite a problem.

I initially thought this might trigger the purge of soapland if they apply same treatment like

Actually yes though, I don't know why I was ranting so much. The mizu Shobai system can be very flawed and stressful for the hosts/hostesses, who in return can be very pushy to their customers to meet the sales demands. I will admit there is much wrong with that industry.

Sadly loans do not seem to go away in other industries, "pay later" or "pay in terms" seem to be popular as ever in today's age.

Well that's true, but there's lots more rules and regulations with banks. Before giving someone a credit card they're meant to check and verify the person is capable of servicing the loan even if the credit limit was maxed out. Pretty sure host clubs wouldn't do the same amount of due diligence. No doubt getting customers to fill out financial forms would ruin the experience...

This was one of the cases where a woman was coerced into working at a soapland and directly introduced by the host, who (if I recall correctly) was taking all of her earnings.

This next round, the government has basically announced the changes they're planning to make and the shops have a few months to get themselves into a compliant position. The new laws will apply to cases initiated after the change, not before.

I'm obviously very ignorant on the entire Japanese host industry and can't follow most of the discussion, but allowing for loans in such places is indeed asking for trouble. Loans can't be mixed with addictive places when people can't really make their best decisions. It's one thing to have a credit card, which yes some may abuse but most folks can use judiciously, and another to be able to get credit in a casino (which unless you're a whale you typically can't) or a p2p type of place.

I consider myself a financially responsible person and I use credit a lot, but I'd be broke ten times over if I could "pay later" when I play. There's a reason I'm not even carrying extra cash with me when I go to a session. I know there's only so much blood in my body and when most of it goes down, the brain gets less.

Yeah I'm not in favor of the loans either, but technically those places are drinking establishments and you are you running a tab, not that uncommon in bars anywhere really. Happens more often that regulars are allowed to pay back their tab on another day.
It's technically not supposed to be a p4p place where you only think with your genitals, haha.
The trick in mizushobai is more to create a wai wai mood where people keep ordering one drink after another.

Yea I get that but still it's one thing to have a drink on your own or with your buddies and another one to have cute girls or guys or whatever is your thing pushing you to buy more. Could never say no to a chick asking me to buy her a drink, which is why I don't go to bars anymore.

Yeah that's the whole fun, haha

if i read it correctly she starts from Feb. not April.

btw i find only one review of her in 2018, seems she is not the one got frequently reviewed at all, so why people tracks her movement as if she is popular among TAG? just because she is the top of Moulin?

No particular reasons.
As we were talking about her and other girls leaving suddenly their SL I was just reporting her new venue.

Yeah, she's not popular here but she's on CH. I will review her though as soon as I arrive in Japan.

Stalking providers like this is really... not good. Especially the people from overseas who haven't even been here - why would you do that?
