Your Views on "Free boobies @Shibuya"

This showed up in the news putting more emphasis on the YouTuber issue ... now after Logan Paul, the sushi incident and others...

The age issue was obviously the bigger issue.

Here's the full vid.

The article I read on this said she's 18, so not underage. She and her guy group were prosecuted the other day for public indecency, kinda like how wanna-be idols in Akihabara used to let guys peek and shoot vids/take pics of their panites from under their skirts.

I'm not saying this is a Japan-only cultural thing, but the more you see things like this, the more people will think Japan is full of women with liberal standards when it comes to sex. It could be argued that this is the case when you look out how Japan has one of the most popular porn and sex service industries in the world, but this kind of public activity leaves a huge impression.

So I found more info, while the first girl turned out to be of age, apparently this is coming up again because a second girl tried a similar stunt just the other day and she was definitely only sixteen. She and her older male cameramen were all arrested while filming.

The 16 year old was the one I saw on the news.

I see, I only just found out about the second one. I thought this was a news station digging up old news for a "Lol, Oh ,Japan!" story.

Sort of related.... at least for the YouTuber part, another jackass put a camera on a sushi conveyor belt in Sushiro shop and then uploaded it YouTube. It was first reported on the Yahoo news page and then was on TV this morning. The video is gone now, but there's a lot of furor on both sides of the fence. (Although the dude in question, long before this, is a well known douche among the foreigner community.)

Yeah pretty much what I saw on the other site I read it from. Willing to bet the people who came up with the idea are her "friends" who were filming.

Edit: Saw that video too, dude claimed the restaurant was OK with it but damn. If you whip your dick out in a crowd sure maybe a few people will be like whatever, but that doesn't excuse the people who would feel violated.

Yeah, that was bullshit. Sushiro had to issue an apology and from what I heard from other Japanese - the fact that the shop staff didn't say a word to them about it... just giving the camera back... is what triggered some people.

(I record shit in public/outdoors, but I'd never have the indecency to invade people's private time while eating or much less, film inside a shop without permission.)

Yup.

I've met him. He's not a douche. He's an ultra-mega-uber-douche.

Then again, he's a vlogger, so that's sort of expected.

LOL. I've never had the displeasure, thank god.
All I ever heard was that he's a valued customer at Tokyo-area McDonalds shops.

How would you ever meet him? You can't possibly be in the same social circles.

I don't know some J-Vloggers seem OK. Akasan and Chris Broad seem pretty cool, although Akasan likes gimmeaflakeman the original douche-bag J-Vlogger. No accounting for taste I guess.

I was not aware that was a prerequisite to being a successful YouTuber. ;)

All greek to me... I do watch YT, but mainly stuff related to my own hobbies.

lol...

Fun Fact;
The only person that I ever met from YouTube, that I actually knew who she was, was Magibon (google her). I happened to recognize her while getting Ice Cream in Akihabara. Nice girl, misguided but otherwise a decent person. I met her a few times after that before she kind of vanished into the world. The only reason I knew her, was because of some web-drama site.

Oh gods no... I just met him at a bar once, he vaguely knew one of the people at our table.

Suffice to say, he was not invited to join us.

I highly recommend Chris Broad, aka abroadinjapan. He's unusually humble for a youtuber and is pretty funny.

I'll second that, at least from the videos. Found Texan in Tokyo to be similar. Most v-bloggers are too much into themselves.
