Not the name of a new venue sadly, but I was curious about something...

If I went to Yoshiwara tonight, would many places be open during a typhoon?

Is there a level where they just set all the women loose? If so, is that a good time for some typhoon nampa?

I would expect that a lot of places will be sending girls home. Many offices are cutting people loose early for this one, and there are transit alerts out already.

Tokyo shits itself when the weather is just a little bit bad.

Most places will probably close early.

I saw lots of people starting to get on the trains at 3pm. Most of the staff at my work already left by 5pm

Usually the male staff of a Yoshiwara shop live in the neighborhood. They will surely keep the shops open tonight and tomorrow no matter what. Some girls are tweeting about their availability tomorrow, trying to find clients for the slots made available by cancellations. However, the girls can cancel tomorrow's appointments, too, in short notice.

I don't think it'd be comfortable going out there tonight or tomorrow. The typhoon could be moving very slow off Chiba, which may cause continuous heavy rain in Tokyo. Also it'd be better bear in mind that Yoshiwara is in the flood prone area by Sumidagawa river though the likelihood of flood is very low due to the extremely low water level in the upstream of the Sumidagawa/Arakawa water system.

Typhoon coming in... thinking about going to Yoshiwara... you sir, are my kind of guy. (y)
Never tried anywhere in a typhoon before, but I’ve gone to MPs before in some heavy rain. Sometimes junior just doesn’t care about the weather. :D
For the girls that are still working or do go in during the storm, I wonder if more cards would be available to gaijin due to what I would assume to be lesser volume for the day.

This reminds me of the news stories about the punters who perished in Kobe's entertainment districts when the earthquake struck. People watching the news were thinking "How shameful ... but what a way to go!"

I guess they didn't see it coming.

I love when these type of slow typhoons come because everyone goes home which gives you more options. I use to visit Okinawa frequently where typhoons happen often around this time of year. I attended so many private Typhoon Parties and loved every bit of it.

I drove by Shibuya and Kabuki earlier tonight and it was sorta empty. I think some shops are closed and some are open - You just have visit them or call and ask. I think same with Yoshiwara shops.

Don’t usually comment but wanted to give my 2 cents. :)
