Is there a way to anonymously send money to someone in Japan? I want to give someone in another town some money, but I don't want to do furikomi bank transfer because I don't want to have a record from my back account or even my real name.

is there some way to do this at a combini, or post office, or something?

Thanks for any ideas.

Send them cash via takkyubin.

Thank you Sudsy. Do you know if I can have takkyubin deliver to a convenience store or other similar location?

No, its not for a Flipper but something along those lines...

I guess you know what you are doing. But I heard of some guys sending money to Nigerians who were packing footlongs in their pants. They believed they sending the cash to Asian sweeties.

Another option Cash Registered Mail現金書留(Genkin Kakitome) via Japan Post. You can put fake info if you want coz the won't check the info.

You don't need to furikomi from your bank account. You only need their bank info.
If you guys are on the using fake names level you can see why guys on here might ask you to be cautious.

You can furikomi from any bank atm. Doesn't have to be from your account. You can put whatever name you like.

If you are sending more than 100,000yen by furikomi, and it is not from your bank account then they will ask you for ID.

Depends on how much money and how anonymous you want it to be. You can buy pre-paid credit cards and just give them the card number(s).

thanks for the answer, I now realize why this is so after checking an older post about some girls flipping out.
the name makes perfect sense in these situations
