If you didn't know, this summer was the hottest ever recorded.

Tokyo is no exception! With the baking heat and those screaming semi, summers can be unbearable. So, what are you doing to make it better?

this summer is by far better then the last few i had in tokyo... and i dont have any aircon, i dont even have a fan... at work there is some aircon, but its usually not turned on and if its turned on, it doesnt matter much, since i am sitting out of range...

my recommendation: ガリガリ酒

The heat is pretty miserable for sure, but a couple of hours of hot & sweaty sex followed by a refreshing shower in a well air conditioned love hotel is amazing!

I've found some very refreashing wet tissue called "men's sheet".

PS : I love summer and hate the cold weather, so I can accept the heat as a side effect :D

I don't mind the heat, it's the humidity that drives me nuts.

Going out into the heat and having a good sweat doesn't bother me, can always go home and take a shower to cool off and then lounge in the aircon. My power bill is usually much higher to run the air condition units all day/night. It's kind of offset by using less gas for hot water.

The places I work, usually have decent air conditioning and are pleasant to work in.

Don't mind the tan either, I don't look so pasty white now!

Change Habits to Recover from Summer Heat Fatigue
8:49 pm, August 27, 2016

By Miwa Uehara / Yomiuri Shimbun Staff Writer

Some may be suffering from deterioration in their physical strength and summer heat fatigue due to the long heat wave. Damage to your body from summer fatigue can linger into autumn or later. However, reconsidering your bathing and eating habits even just a little may help reduce fatigue.

First, let’s review our bathing habits. Many people may take only showers during hot weather.

However, Yasuhiro Ishikawa, a spokesman at bath powder manufacturer Bathclin Corp. in Tokyo who is also certified as a hot spring bathing instructor, said: “Soaking in the bathtub leads to recovery from fatigue, especially during hot days.”

Through bathing in the bathtub, you can achieve effects such as relaxation and improved blood circulation. As blood carries nutrients and oxygen, better circulation accelerates the recovery of cells in the body which helps people to easily recover from fatigue.

That sheets feel great! But my skin is too sensitive to alcohol. It turns red really badly after wiping off my skin with it...
I even ask nurse to use something other than the usual alcohol surgical cotton for monthly check up.

Sorry for the off topic. Talking about blood sampling, I must stare at the whole process while they are doing. Do you think it is strange?

My daytime job I had before, part of the work environments is either -70, -25 or -10 degrees celsius. They looked like Eskimo even when outside is 35+ degrees.

I dont know how the people here could look so refreshed while I'm a broken dam of sweat. Yesterday at Nakano Broadway the condensed water was falling from the ceilings. Its totally unbelievable!

On a side note, better to be here than in Spain now. My sister told me that last monday they reached 53°C.

I do that too!

But that means it is probably strange. Nurses usually seem a bit surprised that I am watching very intently as they stick the needle into one of my veins.

Wear tank tops whenever possible ... get tanned a bit. Drink lots of water because I sweat a lot.
I definitely minimise my personal caffeine intake ... it makes me want to pee.

Same here. I seem to get some rush watching the needle poke my skin ... that I don't even notice the blouse the lady nurse is wearing is loose enough to show me her chests... lost opportunities.

Eating lots of ice cream and staying home with the AC. :D

That sounds so lovely, I'm going to do that now. However, that doesn't work for me at work :( at least I don't work outside though. I can stay in the A/C. So happy Japan makes a ton of non-lined business suits that are incredibly lightweight compared to what I normally find in the states.

No… just no. I had to respond on that lol. Sweaty summer sex is ugggh (and air conditioned is even worse, I rush it to be calm and warm under the bed sheets, only to end up with a fucking cold). Seems like I should feel blessed to have spent this summer in San Jose haha.
