Hi there,

First actual post so hopefully I won't sound too stupid.

Been looking around here and it seems like no one has really touched any of the services (imekura, deriheru or otherwise) that specifically cater for the fans of anime and games.

Has anyone tried any or have any advice about them?

My Japanese is pretty terrible, VERY basic verbal skills, can read Kana but can struggle with even basic Kanji recognition. I can generally get around last time I was in Japan.

So, with that in mind, I've been looking at a few anime/game cosplay orientated places and these are a few I've come across:

Pure Cos
http://www.pure-cos.com/
I could be wrong but, I believe it is an Image Club with delivery services? (And also 3P and non-sexual Dates?)
Shibuya based.

Moe-Channel Shinjuku (And it's subsequent chains and sister sites)
http://www.moe-chan.com/
Same thing more or less?
All over the place, but this particular one is obviously Shinjuku.

Tenshi no Shippo
http://www.angeltail.jp/
Hotel Health (and more), seems conveniently located outside of Nipponbashi Station in Osaka.

AniHiro (Anime Heroine?)
http://www.anihiro.net/main/ (the site is ridiculously cute <3)
As the subheader of the main site says, Hotel & Image Health.
Near the Tanimachi Kyuchome Station in Osaka, near Tenshi no Shippo.

I'm not in Japan yet, but when I will I think I might take a shot.
It would be my first p4p experience so I'm extremely nervous.

If all of them turn away foreigners, then I think I might resort to JK Style. I mean, it's not a bad thing, and it was originally my first choice until I realised that Japan would of course have more anime/game orientated services lol.

Aaand thanks for reading, hope it doesn't sound to beggar-like in my request?

Most imekura places I have called in the past dont take foreigners but there is nothing on this site that does or does not say they are allowed.

Lots of places that don't specialize in cosplay will still have a cosplay option. If they don't have the specific costume you want, I'm sure you can reserve someone with AM and they'd be happy to wear an outfit that you bring with you (might have to pay a little extra -- call/email them and ask).

Hmmm.
I dunno, I think I'd prefer a place that actually specialises in cosplay, it kinda puts my mind at ease knowing that the girls know that they provide that as a base. I don't especially like the idea of having to provide the cosplay myself either (size issues, don't want to carry it around my Japan trip etc).

Also, is there a real difference between delivery and hotel health? Other than the fact that one you have to book a hotel yourself, and the other being provided on site? It seems hoteheru are cheaper too?

Delivery health you call. Hotel health you go to an office, pick the girl and pay there and go to the hotel. I prefer hotel health because face to face communication is much easier for me. The only hotel health I use that is 100% gaijin friendly is Happy Berry (lr-shinjuku.com). Grimpeur in Shibuya you need basic Japanese skills while the ones in Ikebukuro require advanced Japanese but not all the girls will take foreign customers regardless of Japanese ability.

In Osaka at the moment, will check out a few and see if any bares fruit.

Well no luck at AniHiro or Tenshi no Shippo.

AniHiro didnt outright reject me, but i believe he said no girls atm would take foreigners (I could be completely wrong, my Japanese is only enough for me to get around.)

Tenshi no Shippos line was busy everytime I rang so that wasnt much progress.

Oh well, I guess I'll give JK Style a go when I get back to Tokyo

Did you try loveakiba? Also you may want to try Shimbashi sara they have a cosplay option for an extra 1000 yen I posted a question asking if anyone tried it if you search the forums.

Haven't tried it since I'm in in the Kanto area atm.
Haven't looked at Shimbashi sara yet either lol.

Does anyone have any luck with PureCos?

I called them and asked if they do outcalls. Apparently, they don't. You have to be in Shibuya to book one of their girls. Also, since I'm Japanese, they didn't have any problem with me. They only asked if I was willing to travel all the way to Shibuya so that I could purchase their services. I need someone who's already been there to give me more info.

Also, their websites indicate that they allow photos/videos of their client taken for a fee. That sounds good seeing as most of their models are hot hot hot hot.

Do you have to book beforehand or can you turn up in person and select from the available ones there?

I will be in the area so I can check when I'm free.

I think they do both. Try it for yourself and see if you have any luck.

Called PureCos and was told Japanese only. So I guess only Moe Channel left, but I doubt they take non Japanese as well.
Being a huge fan of anime and games, I know how it feels to look for places that specialize in those genre.
Places that specialize in those genre usually have much better choices on costumes and girls, IMHO cosplay is more than just put some cloth on some random girl who have no idea what she is wearing. Places that specialize in anime and games usually have Otaku girls as well.

Unfortunately, places like that are already very few, no to mention you need to be very fluent in Japanese to begin with...

Not entirely true.

As long as you can present some legal ID that you are indeed japanese nationality and you look like one and you can at least speak on the basic or conversational level, then you're solid.

I dunno - I think a lot of providers are much more fearful of the cultural differences and inability to communicate than what genetic material comes out of a guy's cock. Sure, organizations worry about other customers seeing white guys coming in and out of their front door, but otherwise I don't think nationality is a big factor. If some Korean guy that speaks fluent Japanese and knows the ins and outs culturally, they'd have very little issues getting service either.

I'll agree to that in some extent, but based on observations, I've seen a lot of chinese, korean and even vietnamese guys posing as japanese and being able to enter these establishments with ease. They were quite fluent in Japanese.

You know what they say, if you look the part, then act the part. I've mistaken a lot of asian dudes for japanese folks. Hell, I got a co-worker who I didn't know was a filipino. He looked like one of those okiniwa types.

Well, if you look Asian and you own Japanese ID, then I would imagine most provider will accept you since you can outright tell them you are Japanese and show them proof.

On the other hand, if you looks like Westerner or non Asian, I would imagine even with Japanese ID, some provider will outright reject you.

In the end of day, it all depends on the provider.

I am aware of that.

That is like trying to get into an elephant club with elephant's ID looking like a tiger.

Any website or previous posts aside from the www.deli-ouji & posts above that lists imekura store locations? I'm after the (various) theme rooms & scenarios, & agree with Pristina that simply putting on a costume isn't the same as a girl really enacting her character.

I'm aware that most places will reject Gaijin but Damnit, your guaranteed to fail if you never try at all.

Hope no one minds me bumping this older thread, but I was wondering if anyone had any updates on anime centered Image Clubs in Tokyo that Gaijin would be able to easy book & use their services. There's not many threads on this on this topic from what I can see. Mods, let me know if I should start a new thread instead due to this one's age.

100% agree with this. Some ladies offer "costume" services, but knowing that the service's entire foundation is on the "imekura" idea is so so so preferred.
