All I know is that it's quite popular and you'll be against ojiisans with cameras for the prime viewing spots.

Yeah it's quite popular... enough to make sure I avoid the area unless I'm intent on going to the festival.

My favorite festival of the year when the Thai one shows up at Yoyogi Park. (or just outside it...) May 14th and 15th this year at Yoyogi Park Events Square.
