Deai Cafe Suggestions?

I'm going to Kirari cafe for the first time either tonight or tomorrow. Any advice? Is this something you dress up fancy and shave for? I'm still not sure in the process.

2000 yen to get in? Sit in a booth? Talk to girls coming in and out of the booth? Say if I'm interested or not? Negotiations? 2000 yen to leave cafe? Go to Hotel or rental room? Do the boom boom?

I would dress up a little, and make yourself presentable as you both have to agree to go out, you are also spending time with a woman so it's always nice to at least try to look decent.

Pretty much as you described, go in and sit in the fishbowl with all the other guys, when someone takes your fancy grab her card and give it to the guy working there. You both go to the private room to negotiate, if you agree you pay and leave, if not you both return to the main rooms and try someone else.

I tried it once, didn't really like the negotiation part, felt like haggling at a market. Also in Kawasaki the women were not in abundance and priced themselves accordingly.

I've read the other deai threads and got some good nuggets of information.

Include in the nego the timing when you will give the girl the money. Before bang bang or after. And make sure you give the correct amount. Remember the girl (and also you) can report any irregularities at the cafe.

You sit in a room with other guys first and can see all the girls. If there is someone you like you request the staff to set up a meeting with her and you'll get in the super small booth with her and discuss price and service.

I'd definitely shave for it! And wear reasonably clean and nice clothes but doesn't have to be too fancy.

Hotel or rental room is up to you and probably up to what price you will agree on with her. Most girls dont mind rental room i think, some even prefer it since they are usually closer to the cafes than the hotels are. But someone might hurry more to get the job done in a rental room because who really wants to stay long time in such an environment?

If you find a girl who you like the total cost of the cafe would be 4000 yen and a rental room might cost 1000~2000 yen for short time and a budget hotel 2500~4000 yen (you're probably familiar with those rates). Getting 15.000 to 20.000 is normal for girls. 30.000 is high but not super uncommon for very pretty girls, if its a regular girl she's probably trying to rip you off a bit or she doesn't like foreigners. 10.000 is low but maybe not impossible. Less than 10.000 is tricky but might be possible for very quick or a bit unattractive girl, not a good idea probably.
Anyway, depends a bit on the girl.

Hahaha ill use your advice next time. I looked particularly scary. I went into cafe with a huge mustache and scared a girl. I was rather nervous. Wasn't sure if i should assume she was an escort which made it awkward if she was. Kind of treated her like she just wanted to talk to guys and look for a date-able guy.

Yep, certainly shave and brush your hair! Too formal clothes may be too much (although suits are common), just wear something clean and nice.

As for behavoir, expect that the girl is there because she wants to make some money but don't expect she is a super professional escort either.
Just ask her what she would like to do (mokuteki wa?) and she'll probably answer something like "warikiri" or "hoteru ikitai", or possibly "shokuji" or "karaoke".
Then ask her about pocket money (お小遣い). She will most likely start at 20.000 for hotel or 10.000 for a normal date but in some cases you can negotiate.

Hahaha Sorry! I actually shaved right after I left the cafe but the head hair issue is still an issue. I just came from work so was a little too formal I think. Yeah she kind of seemed like she was waiting for me to ask that but my nihongo is weak.
