Hi , I have a hotel reservation at the Dormy inn premium shibuya jingumae late September. Does anyone know if this hotel is "guest friendly" ? Have sent emails to the hotel about this & other enquiries but no response on the guest friendly yay or nay bit.

Officially, I'm not sure.... but another Dormy Inn located in Akihabara, didn't have much issue. The elevators were right in front of the reception desk, but again... have a backup plan in place just in case.
 
I haven't been in this particular one, but when i stayed in Takamatsu, I think they even offered short term stays ... if they are not, Shibuya is probably the best place, if you need a LH ;)
