Hello all. I am an American living and working in Saitama. I am trying to gain some unique experiences. I am really interested in visiting a soap land. I saw on Google maps that there are some here in Oomiya. But I know that they're probably not gaijin friendly.

Hello and welcome to the site!

It's true that we don't have much intel on places outside of Tokyo, but we've seen requests for places around Saitama, but it's been a dry well so far.

Your best bet is just try and see what happens -- they worst thing that could happen is that they say "No." but just be polite and don't press the issue.

Yeah that was what I was thinking. I checked around their websites but I didn't find anything that said they weren't gaijin friendly. I am not 100% sure though because I can't read Japanese very well and was relying entirely on google translate. I only found one website that makes mention of foreigners and that is http://www.lovepeace2007.jp/ which they supply a link that says "for foreigners" which I clicked and it is linked to an escort directory so my thinking is that they are trying to send any potential gaijins to another place away from their business.

The place you linked above doesn't post any rule that specifically says 'no foreigners allowed' - what they are doing is getting rid people that can't speak or red basic Japanese. (...and pointing them to an English escort site to get them away.)

If you can speak Japanese at N2 or maybe even N3 level, it opens those doors that are usually closed to people who cannot speak.

Times are changing though.... More shops are realizing that the foreign population has money to spend and they are realizing that they are losing out on that piece of the pie! ;)
