Hey! I'm in Japan for an extended period. I speak passable Japanese (actually a major purpose of this trip is immersion and training my verbal output) and more passable written Japanese (having time to think helps a lot at the moment...) unless I'm panicking like when I couldn't book a room for my first deriheru experience (review awaiting approval) where it's basically the same quality as speaking. Actually it's taught me that if I put myself in more high pressure situations, I might be able to better align my spoken Japanese level to my written Japanese level!
