looking for info about happening bars / swinger clubs in Tokyo that fit our appetite

Hey everyone
We are a couple that used to frequent swinger clubs in Europe and have not yet tried anything similar here in Japan. Basically, we used to visit the bigger swinger clubs back home, where the sex was part of the reason to go, but also the relaxed atmosphere. Like, the one we used to frequent back home had a buffet, drink bar, jacuzzi, sauna, etc, as well as a lot of themed rooms where most of the action happened...
The nice thing about it was that you would enter in relatively "normal" setting and wouldn't be greeted to people fucking right in front of you from the moment you step inside... Like, if you wanted, you could just have a nice evening out, without doing anything sex related perse.
The reason for why we're looking for something with a similar vibe, is because we have a friend here in Japan, whom we told about the clubs we used to frequent back home, and she would be interested in doing something similar together with us, but we don't know the general vibe of the clubs here in Tokyo, and don't want to scare her off from the moment she steps inside (she doesn't have much experience with any of this).
Our Japanese is passable and hers is definitely good enough, so that is most likely not an issue (as long as they allow foreigners of course).
So, any tips on clubs that would be relatively similar in setting to what we were used to in Europe, that would be good for a newcomer?

Quick addition: preferably a place where the music isn't blasting like you're in a club. I guess we're looking for "relaxed but sexy" with the option to have sex.

Bliss Out is the easiest to go.
9359 if all of you have Japanese health insurance cards.
Olive21 if you only want swinging, but you can’t enter with 3 people, it all have to be m/f pairs.

I think Bliss Out is the easiest to go as well as Alice mentioned. The staffs understand English and there should someone who can speak English well.

Please forgive me to jump in.
Does anyone who has any information of Retreat, The colors and/or Happy? All of them are located in Shinjuku. I understand it is hard to find any HBs with friendly atmospheres. Now, the old HB in Shibuya will be closed at the end of this March.

I think I have been to colors once but it’s very small and not a big crowd (was probably downtime though).
Haven’t been to retreat but I’ve heard it’s not a very friendly environment. Not possible to peep in the play rooms and men are not allowed to wear the cosplays they have on offer. Maybe it’s not bad for women though.

Have not heard of Happy before, interesting.

Last time someone took me to Bliss Out, other people mentioned another HB with a buffet that was popular for women. Don’t remember the name but I think it was also a combination of numbers like 4242 or something. Sorry to not be more helpful. 😬

I think the HB with buffet is "bar440". Tourists are welcome, but at least one of partners would need to communicate in Japanese.
9259 and the Colors are also required to communicate in minimum Japanese, by the nature of HBs.

Happy is specialised for those who like BDSMs.

Yes, I went Bar 440 the other day.
Bar 440 is very friendly atmosphere, but not the foreigner-friendly one.
The buffet was surprising me, even though I didn't have. You can google their twitter site for the menu of the day. It was really amazing! However, we can't see others' sex in the room. We can play outside the room, but a girl may eat something.

I never been Happy yet. But, I may visit there not too far, though I don't have those kinds of hobbies.

I have been to Retreat a few times. I really like it. I really like the staff - in particular one of the barmaids is both (IMO) well sexy, but also great at encouraging customers to interact with each other. And has similar taste in music to me. (I think she also likes fat hairy guys so she always seems to be borderline flirting with me, but also she seems to be into S&M so sadly I can't, in good faith, add her to my list of future wives). But my experience has varied wildly at Retreat: there have been times I've been there during the day and ended up just heading to a playroom with my date; times where I've been there during the day and ended up in a playroom with 11 other people, watching three guys roger my date while another lady frigged herself off on my big toe; and times in the evening where there is barely any room to stand, let alone find someone to play with. Personally I really like it. I go there with no expectations and always end up having had some sort of adventure. But - for the information of any tourists - they are pretty strict about Japanese ability. If you can't speak Japanese I don't think they'll let you in. I've never seen any other foreigners there when I've been there (though I know that a few people from here go there).

So to the OP, in my (relatively limited) experience, I feel like Bliss Out is the best fit for tourists. When I went there it felt super sharky - lots of single males surrounded me and my date as soon as we got in (unlike Retreat where, even if there are lots of single males, they tend to be much less... desperate?). But the playrooms are downstairs, so - in my experience anyway - you can just sit upstairs and enjoy a social event or head downstairs for some sexy time.

I have just heard that the bar Face in Roppongi, the Canero in Gotanda and the Retreat in Shinjuku are the same group bars. As you may see, their web interfaces look similar.
Now, Bliss Out has changed the location recently. It became quite smaller than the Colors. Unfortunately, there is only one floor. No downstairs attractive anymore.

Does anyone have information about other places like Ikebukuro and Ueno? Only heard about one place in Ueno recently but no idea what it’s like. Not particularly convenient for me but just interested in hearing about new places.

Thank you for sharing this, we have the same experience in France, and would like to discover the same in Japan. However I understand that Bliss Out is the only HB in which we could possibly get in as foreigners (I learned Japanese a long time ago but it's all forgotten, and he is tattooed). Would appreciate to meet like-minded couples though.

Got the itch to go back to a HB - we’ve only ever been to Bliss Out but retreat sounds good.

From the site it looks like their tattoo policy is pretty lax but anyone with experience? My girl has a few small ones so she can get away with “1 point” but mine are a bit more noticeable. Guessing it’s mainly wabori style stuff they’re uptight about but anyone have any experience?

Hi like to meet foreigner couple going to swinger club in Tokyo. foreigner easier since do not speak Japanese. I move to Tokyo now so can meet easier.
What is the best place to go for non speaker? is better in evening or also Sunday afternoon?
