Ryokans Near Nagano

I'm going back to Japan in February, and I'm planning a skiing/onsen trip with a few friends. Anybody have any experience with ryokans near Nagano, preferably in Yamanouchi/Yudanaka? Money is no object.

I've found that some of the really nice ones (e.g. Yuyado Sekiya) have Japanese-only websites and it's been tough to inquire about availability.

I know this isn't the usual question for these forums, but hoping there are some uber-cultured TAG members that can help me out, thanks!

Sorry you aren't getting responses to this. I don't have any suggestions for you other than checking online, especially if you are decent with Japanese. If not you might be able to find something on Trip Advisor or other travel websites.

Shibu Onsen is nice. Just above Yudanaka Onsen and closer to the snow monkeys.
I've stayed at the Shibu Hotel which is a nice ryokan. Good food. Also keys to all the soto-yu in town.
