Not sure if this has been addressed, but I find the search function's 4-character minimum to be very restrictive. There are obviously numerous providers whose nom de guerre is 3 characters or less, making them unsearchable. Also, the abbreviations for certain companies are unsearchable.

I am not a programmer, so this is probably another typical case of a user complaining about something that's actually really difficult to code, but I figured I'd put it out there.

It's often this way because very short search strings return too many false positives. This makes those sorts of searches both worthless to the people searching, and also causes a larger load on a database - which is why unless a website is Google they usually restrict search results to the first several hundred/thousand results found.

I did a bit of testing really quickly, and to get around this you can use the asterisk * wildcard to make your search string longer. So if you want to search for the [Redacted #67] agency, you can search for [Redacted #67]* (but not *[Redacted #67] for some reason). Same thing with Ai or AM, although there's more common words that the wildcard will find there.

I'm not sure if this software supports multiple keywords and/or search by keyword, but that might be a workaround- mods could go back and tag threads with relevant keywords. There's also other escort review sites where individual escorts or agencies have their own pages where all their reviews are listed. That would make it easier to track down information on a particular provider.

Edit: you can also use Google to search TAG for those sorts of terms. If you want to search for 'Ai', you can enter the following into Google:

site:tokyoadultguide.com Ai

Meiji is basically spot on....

The DB engine itself has its own list of stop words plus a minimum character restriction.

We do have a new search engine coming, it will help some but probably not fix everything.

The Google search recommended by Meiji is extremely effective for finding content that may be otherwise hard to find.

That all said, thank you for the valuable feedback. We appreciate it very much!

I'm a professional researcher, so I'm embarrassed I couldn't figure out the wildcards!

But anyway, thanks a ton guys, this is all very valuable information. Time to go read every single AM review ever lol.
