Strange Back Alley Dvd Basement Store?

I was walking through Tokyo through one of the smaller walkways behind the main buildings. There was a man standing next to a small "DVD" sign he propped up on the ground. The door to this place is blank and leads downstairs. You have to know Japanese to get in.

So. Has anyone been down to one of these places? I expect it to probably be non mosaic porn. But curious to be sure.
 
You are correct, they are selling uncensored porn DVDs. These were much more common ten or more years ago, but these days most people just get their porn over the Internet. The market for the DVDs is mainly older folks who aren't tech savvy enough to hit the porn online, or Chinese tourists looking to bring some home.

Totally agree. People buying uncensored porn DVDs, are mostly those that aren't familiar with the Internet, but....

I have noticed and talked to many Japanese people that are not or less aware of things or websites on the Internet that aren't in Japanese. It seems they are in such a bubble, that if it isn't in Japanese, then it doesn't exist or they don't ever/usually go looking for it.
