Upmarket Nightclubs/bars In Roppongi, Ginza, Shibuya?

Hi, we're coming to Japan for the first time this month and we're looking for a swanky bar where you could wear a full suit and cocktail dress - what are the best places around Roppongi, Ginza and Shibuya?

We're not looking for a couple kissa or happening bar (we'll just see how we go )

Indeed it is, and their specialty. the "Diamond Martini" is delicious; be sure to order one for yourself and your date!

The Oak Door at the Grand Hyatt is also rather nice - though not quite cocktail dress standard.
It's semi outdoor which I like

Nice list...a few places on it I will give a try at some point. These are more bars with good views than strictly rooftop ones though.

I was surprised not to see Two Rooms (in Omotesando-Aoyama) on the list. Perhaps is not on a high enough floor to be included, but it does have a quite charming (imo) outdoor terrace for eating and drinking.

The Blue Note and the Cotton Club jazz clubs are good for a dressy/posh night out on the town and often have great shows.
