Hey, it means they have money to burn. Thats something I personally still look up to as a countryside brat.

If you have spending money, you already have more going for you than most people in the world, so not much of being a loser really.
And famous, popular people also pay to play.

Well, these calls starting in earnest when VoIP came widely available. Coincidence, I think not. They basically have to get one guy hooked per month and they'll be making money.

I agree with both. People tend to focus on the black spot on a blank piece of paper. This is only human nature. People tend to over generalize based on the negative stuff we hear on the news (whether it is fake news or not) or based on life experiences. But not all people of a certain country/race/religion/ethnicity are bad (or add preconceived notion here: ____) . I'm not saying that i'm a saint. I have my faults too. But maybe if we try to respect each other more. Then the world will be a better place (also, I am definitely not a contestant for the miss universe pageant...I wont talk about world peace).

I don't really know @Simonka cause I have never met her in person. I was able to exchange a few PMs [her previous pics were all headless so I asked her about her hair color, and then we moved on to other topics.] with her, though. But IMO she is a very open minded person with a positive outlook on life and with a culturally diverse set of friends.

Also people who spend on me have a good taste imo, so bonus points for that.

@User#8628 and @Anna Summer , I have met. I know for a fact that they don't care about a person's skin color or background as long as the other person treats them with respect.

Let us all just try to get along. Life is too short to be encumbered with a lot of heavy baggage.

What makes me feel bad is that I'm the only one targeted in the company and these scammers bother the hell out of my coworkers since they don't speak English. I'm affraid the Japanese staff will start thinking that I did something that started it all.

It shows "unknown" and usually it's staff verification call overseas. Sometimes it gets into "annonymous" or another one I forgot, but we get other oversea calls from our hq as well when the caller name not shown so, I got to be patient on those calls. Such a trouble.

But better than I used to get Japanese porn scammers on sales inquiry contact address at my previous work place. That was super odd!

Btw I have no issues with them belonging to a particular ethnicity. Most likely it's a call center located in those countries and they're getting orders from a white American. I understand they're just doing their job but obviously their supervisor has the wrong impression of how sales techniques should be executed. It just irks me so much whenever people don't get no means no.

Whoa! I think this goes into the speculation range, because I certainly don't have any problems with white Americans. I just tried to give a different perspective because most companies in USA outsource to India. Why does racism related talk always have to go in the "you're either with us or not" direction? Please don't make assumptions on my personal choices based on a few comments. Actually I have a dislike for political correctness and I am not the biggest supporter of affirmative action. I think you've mistaken me for a white man hating SJW Supporting a dignified life for other ethnicities doesn't mean that I have an internal hatred for my race. I just don't find it okay to refer to certain ethnicities as "scum" or calling their land "s***hole".

I think that in your mind, this white American is also male, over 50 and has become financially successful by exploiting women and poor people of color. You clearly made him the problem. This is what is called identity politics. The lesson for you dear, is that color, nationality, age, sex, ethnicity or income shouldn't matter. But it seems to matter to you. Otherwise you would not have had to mention that the guy behind the calls is a white American.

I am not assigning anything. In your post you say that you don't find it ok for people to call various ethnicities scum, etc. but in the same post you obliquely but very clearly imply that white Americans are the root of the problem. I am really sick of hearing it. These days, if you are a white American male over 50, and you are financially successful, then you are THE PROBLEM. Simonka, it is not who you are. It is what you say and, more importantly, what you do.
