Hello everybody,

Does anyone have info that can help a foreigner access HIV PeP in Japan.

I read somewhere online that it is difficult to access and very expensive here.

Sometimes, I make mistakes, mostly in regards to BB anal. I know, is a stupid s thing to do. Heat of the moment weakness. Anyway, trying to stop doing that.

I was in Bangkok and made a few mistakes so they gave me a course of PEP at the anonymous clinic. Long story short, I might need another one.

I'm probably fine but, it would put my mind at ease a bit. Ideally, I'd take a trip back to Bangkok to get some. However, I've gotta wait a while before I go back through Thai immigrations.

Any info on this would be appreciated.

P.S. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend the red Cross center in Bangkok. The medicine is so cheap there and it's not a long or expensive flight.

Hi Roots. Thanks for this. That's about what I was able to find on my own. I tried calling a few of the phone numbers and didn't have much luck. I was hoping someone mighthave had personal experience with it here in Japan. It seems like it's a not readily available here and thats a shame.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'm just being paranoid.

For people new in Tokyo, it's pretty difficult to find where to check without Japanese skills so I helped some lately for that.
It seems Shinjuku anonymous is getting really crowded and it takes several weeks to get appointment.
But in Shinjuku, the less expensive is 5000yens (insurance card is not accepted) below with result after 15mn (at Anonymous HIV testing you have to wait one week).

(7th floor of East side buiding).

If you need certificate in English, it will cost you 3640yens.

Useful information, but I believe the original post was asking about PEP (post exposure prophylaxis) rather than anonymous HIV testing.
