New Hot Point closing? Is it true?

Yes im pretty sure i did not misread. It is the diamond shape NHP logo, with same font style. And "ikebukuro" as subtitle.
 
I am currently north of the subway exits. Went on all side streets and went up the main drag for at least 4 blocks. The only diamond logo I saw was the 2 hands 18 or older that you see at all adult places...
 
In conclusion, I went all directions ENSW on the main drag from the described subway exit just in case. Nothing.
Going due north from the exit on the main street was also nothing. If he meant North then West to where all the girly bars were, then I wish he would have said so. That was the last place I looked and criss crossed each side street carefully. I saw 2 more 18 and older diamond logos. Other than that. Squat.

Could have been more descriptive as to what landmark it was near. Was it high on a building, eye level, an ad, a store marker. Big or small.
For me it was a needle in a haystack.

I will dropby later at ikebukuro for a last check to see if i can find it.

The signboard is hung around 2meters from the ground, outside and on the top of staircase / lift entrance of a building
 
For what it's worth, I saw that sign too and it's definitely hanging there in Ikebukuro. Diamond logo just like you said. But I don't think it's the same business. I'll try to find coordinates and maybe someone can investigate? I think it's just the name of the building or something.

Update: OK it's a triangle, not a diamond. It's the "Fore Seven Bldg." near the Lawson here:

Google StreetView shows the sign has been there for at least 10 years so don't get your hopes up!

Is there a common logo with NHP? Did you see the sign in Katakana? That’s what I saw in the signs.
 
Good catch. Yeah.. .that must be related to the building name (or motto). None of the floor signs show anything resembling NHP.
