The Next US President is....

I would hope that's not the case but..............

You know there is a saying that the people get the leader they deserve? Regardless which one of these fine gentlemen wins I am going to be polite for once and not to rub that saying to your face.

It's been four years but I still get a genuine kick out of watching the 2016 debate highlights where he played Jeb Bush like a fucking fiddle. His mastery of bringing schoolyard bullying tactics to live television is unparalleled in politics and that's why none of the establishment was ready for him (and why they still hate him).

The interesting thing to point out is that many years ago, Joe Biden was almost as skilled of a bully as Trump--perhaps moreso because of his decades in politics and many, many attempts at becoming president. When Biden met Paul Ryan on stage during the 2012 debates, he was mean, condescending, rude and he bullied and taunted and pushed Ryan around. He made him come off like a exasperated child, in over his head, even though Ryan was factually correct and technically superior. Biden was just a far more talented politician.

But that Joe Biden is long, long gone. I suppose it's karma, then, that this is how he ends his political career. A frail, demented old man and a shell of his former self. It's, uh...uh...the thing...uh...you know...it's...uh...TIME TO GIVE UP, JOE.

Even Barry told you not to do this.

Maybe they will be ready for him this time?

Biden is not that sharp, but if he is prepared properly and sticks to a game plan you could see an outcome where Donny looks like a 5 year old having a tantrum on the supermarket floor. Just give him enough rope.

Biden's strategy to date seems to be about keeping under the radar and not giving Donny a target. It has worked, and is starting to irritate Donny. That strategy could be carried into the debates.

This time around Donny is not an outsider, he has a four year track record for swing voters to review - his opponent is more palatable than Hilary, and the polls - which apparently have been tweaked to deal with some defects in polling 4 years ago - might be harder to turn around this time.

But if Biden tries to slug it out, trade insults or can't remember his lines - he will lose the debates and possibly the election.

But there are so many uncontrollable factors unique to this election - covid, blm and civil unrest, mail in voting. Very unpredictable election.

That's why I wouldn't put any hard money on this one. There are just too many variables. But here's another very telling prediction of what you can expect in the first debate in a couple of days, and I've said it before--this is elder abuse.

That's blasphemy!

I mean they are not even taking their clothes off.

From what I’ve read, they apparently do take off bras and panties at least in some cases. Haven’t been to a funeral like that in person. Actually, I haven’t been to any funerals in Taiwan so far.

However, I do recall seeing a marching band complete with cute majorettes as part of a funeral procession in the Philippines a few years ago. At first, I thought it was just a parade.

If it's a funeral for an elderly guy that could lead to more funerals because of heart attacks amongst his friends.

... and foes too, hopefully (who are not much younger and saner for most of them)

They need a Leodagan in the US.

Looks like he may need the book deal and the netflix deal to save his hotels and golf courses.

So now you are claiming he actually has a mind?

A mind yes, a soul ... not sure

But hey regarding taxes I remember that during the debate with HC , who said he didn’t want to disclose his tax returns because he probably doesn’t pay any, he replied that would make him smart. So here we go... Trump really is smart. He knows how to dodge death (Vietnam) and taxes, the two supposedly inescapable curses...

see , I’m even doing Keihan Chikan and MossBoss’s job here :)

maybe it’s one of those expenses he could deduct from his income?

Any capable accountant could figure out how to write off P4P. Just don't try doing it if you're a public official, as sooner or later you'll get noticed and the government loves to make examples of politicians. Some of my oldest friends who left their comfy, bullshit gigs in government and went into the private sector are doing really, really well now, and I almost feel ashamed at how many thousand-dollar dinners we have that get written off as "business meetings." That's the beauty of the American tax system. The smart guys (like Trump claims to be) figure out how to write everything off and pay next to nothing and in the end it's perfectly legal--the sucker is the small business owner who pays out the ass and bitches the whole time and then goes out and votes Democrat and pays even more taxes the next year when Democrats raise his taxes again.

To be successful in either business or politics, you must have a mind, you're free to have a soul if it makes you feel better but you definitely cannot have a full-time conscience. Me...I, unfortunately, do have the slightest sliver of a conscience, but I don't let that stop me. I do what needs to be done and then drink until 1) what I did starts to seem fair and justifiable, or 2) I don't even remember what I did, anymore.

Putting things in that perspective, I probably could've been a very prolific hitman.

The only thing that fascinates me about DJT is how he managed to produce such an attractive, well-rounded and gracious daughter. Otherwise, I consider him to be extremely predictable. In fact, I'll bet I can predict just about every insulting thing he's going to say at the debate tomorrow.

Speaking of predictions, there's a running pool with some of my old friends in D.C. and a lot of folks in politics who think that somehow, some way, sometime before the debate tomorrow, Biden's camp is going to announce that due to a "possible COVID exposure" and "out of an abundance of caution," Joe Biden will be pulling out of the debate and isolating at home. Now, that's a bet I'd be willing to put some money on.

attractive: mother’s genes
Well rounded and gracious: not hard to pull off in public if you are attractive and have a good education and loads of money.

i have some good friends at the IRS who told me that Trump would do the same because of a rare condition called Taxquestionmentphobia . And the screen will go automatically blurred with no sound if the tax subject is discussed. Safety measure

Can't see that happening. Presumably they spent weeks discussing whether they should bother debating Trump, but now the debates are locked in, I couldn't see them pulling out at the last minute.

Hope you’re right, don’t want to miss that circus.
But maybe after a first shitshow they could say Ok, there is no point debating this clown again...

Doubt that too .... pulling out of any of the debates at this stage would bring down an avalanche of media anger. They should have pulled out months ago.

But if they have properly prepared for the debates - including some expert analysis of how to play a Narcissist/Psychopath/Sociopath - and if sleepy Joe can stay on script and remember his lines and the game plan ( maybe the big "IF"), Trump may implode.

I wonder how many swing voters haven't got anything better to do than sit down and watch a presidential debate? The whole event seems over-hyped by the media and the the backroom suits within both camps (the "king makers" or the "hangers-on").
