Kirari Cafe Story #2

I went to Kirari Cafe yesterday. I went to the 3 branches in Shinjuku and 3 branches in Shibuya and 1 branch in Ikebukuro. There were many girls in 2 of the shops in Shinjuku, but the other shops weren't busy. I saw bleach blonde woman in the sliding door cafe in Shinjuku, she was pretty popular with the men, but she kept rejecting them. At first I thought it was Alice, but her hair much shorter and a different shade of blonde.

I follow the twitter feed of Kirari. All the shop branches post there. Sometimes they tell the number of girls in the shop and post masked photos (eyes are covered) of the girls (saw Alice last week on the feed).

...If you wanna be sure, go out with the girls who only go out for 30.000 or 20.000 yen because they likely dont have so many customers.

Paying more for the woman doesn't usually guarantee anything safety, STD, or performance wise, just that he paid more for sex. Women who a guy pays 30,000 yen for are not better at sex or less likely to have an STD than women that cost 15,000 yen. The difference is often just superficial looks, makeup/fashion, or popularity. There are thrill seekers, amateur, and "semi-pro" (where selling themselves isn't their full time job) that will take less money for short time play.

It is possible to pay 10,000 to 15,000 yen. However this will be usually limited to 45 minutes to 90 minutes, and tends to be guys good at negotiations or less busy times. As a general rule of thumb and frame of reference when starting negotiations- 10,000 yen per hour. Price is negotiable, at a wide range of price points and time frames. Depends on the people involved.

Some Japanese girls i know dont put their price down at all lower than 30.000 or 20.000 and i know that many guys reject that so they have to wait longer and get just one or two guys a day. Thats why i said its safer for stds.
Girls who first charge high but quickly drop their price in negotiation probably go out with a lot of guys. It could also be that she just doesn't particulaty likes the idea of going out with a gaijin if she refuses to drops her price though.

There is not a solid way to read with how many guys a girl goes out, and even if you'd know that doesn't say if she uses protection or not (maybe some girls do it rather expensive and nama than cheap and protected) and if she has a disease or not.

Its not a solid rule, just behavoir i have viewed from the girls around me.
Some part timers might charge low because they dont have much time to stay out long and just wanna seal a deal but one of my friends stays the whole evening after her day job, doesn't charge less than 20.000 and usually gets about 1 guy a day.

why can't you just pick a girl from a bench at a soapland or a fashion health?

Actually, in many you can - it's called honshimei (本指名), some shops will have the available girls come out all at once, some will have them come out one at a time. Naturally, there is an extra charge for this.

If you have any Japanese skills at all, the tencho will usually ask you if you want a particular woman (since it incurs an extra charge as @Sudsy mentioned).

Wait I thought 本指名 was used when you know the girl and you are a repeating customer?
What you are describing is called "open style" or 顔見せor something like that. Don Juan in Shinjuku apparently have that, and it is apparently used widely in Fukuwara.

I wish it was used in Yoshiwara too, I wouldn't mind having the option to pay a bit to see all the girls available.

That's why the tencho will ask you. It's not like he's going to remember every customer's favorite lady.

That's just 指名.

本指名 is an in person review in most places, as opposed to 写真指名, selection via photos.

Hi,
sorry for the noob question (I didn't know the concept), for how long does the membership last ?
what else than the 2100 do they ask to make one ?

The membership is a one time payment. The 2100 yen is what you pay per day when you use them that gives you access to all their branches. If you and a girl arrange a date, you pay the cafe an additional 2000 yen. So in a day, if you get a date you pay ¥4100 yen to the cafe plus what the amount you agree upon with your date plus love hotel.

Thanks for the answers! That makes sense to me!
Seems definitely worth the extra if its not steep, a lot of pictures use weird photoshop or are outdated.

A lot of guys go there and end up not picking someone..
If you don't pick you dont have to pay the extra fee for leaving with a girl.
It depends on what you like. If you have a few hours with nothing to do its not a bad way to spend your time.

I like to spend a hour or two in a cafe just watching people pass by so I was thinking this athmosphere may be worth the sightsee.
that said, I'm sure I'll have some 1万 bills in my pocket if I go there ... just in case ... :D

Yes, thats what a lot of guys do and it sounds like you would enjoy it.
There are drinks included in the price (from a machine, nothing fancy), the guys in the men's room act funny and some of the girls are pretty to look at.

本指名 is an in person review in most places, as opposed to 写真指名, selection via photos.

While I completely agree with you regarding 写真指名, and the related ネット指名 which just refers to choosing your companion via the shop's website instead of their in-house photos, 本指名 is generally used differently than you suggest.

本指名 means choosing a companion who you have already spent time with at least once before, either via one of the other 指名s or by just having the shop pick for you. Playing with the same provider costs 1,000 or 2,000 yen more from the second session, and at some delivery health places means that you can't take advantage of their "event" discounts. Here is a Japanese definition from one of the big info sites:

本指名っていうのは「一度遊んだ事のある女性を再度指名する事」だ。

Yes this was exactly what I thought as well. Not sure though.

From experience I can confirm that 本指名 is indeed what @Muku1 posted, although this highly varies from shop to shop as not all places do apply Hon-Shimei. Sometimes you're not eligible to discounts as a foreigner, sometimes they have different discounts because it's weekday or business is slow or the lady is a "newcomer", sometimes you get a discount if you subscribe to their mail magazine and tell them the "keyword"... sometimes I don't understand the pricing system at all, it's cheaper than the regular 総額 on the website, but I have no idea how the price is put together. No reason to complain though...

The soaplands are so confusing.. I heard that even Japanese customers misunderstand the outside adverticed bathing fees for the total price sometimes.

You're correct, I missed a character - 本人指名 or 本人をみてから指名。Just be aware that the shops that do this do charge extra for this, and some girls might not come out for it - they don't all sit around made up and ready to go.
