This is the 3rd and final installment of 'Feature Updates' for October 14, 2014.
Every member has a 'profile' that is only visible to members by default. (Unless you change that setting.)
Each member's profile has a 'Profile Post' section where other members can send short messages or updates to each other. (These are public messages, please use "Conversations" for private, non-public messaging.)
The member profile posts can be a very a large target for spammers and other unsavory types. Therefore, there is a new tap on the 'New Posts' page that allows us and other members to see new profile posts to further expose activity on this site.
Please keep in mind that profile posts are public by default but still not visible to non-members or search engines.

For sending truly private messages, click here.
We urge all members to check out all of the content on the forum by using the new posts feature. (In case you did not already know about it!) (here)
