All,

We have been able to operate fairly smoothly for a long period of time without having moving to heavy handed tactics, but with all of the reports flowing in lately, we are going to be forced to do something.

Typically, a ban is reserved for spammers and junk members who don't contribute anything but trouble. Now, we'll apply temporary or permanent bans as we see fit to remedy certain situations.

More than 5 members (and less than 15) have reported one particular member and we have dispatched a message to that member. If things don't settle down, we'll start removing people either through moderation or flat out blocking their replies.

Please treat each other with RESPECT and DIGNITY regardless of the differing opinion or view.

That is all. Happy New Year.

We are still getting reports of abusive behavior and language that is not appreciated by some of our long time members.

Some have recently returned to the site and very distraught by some of the attitudes to one another here. To the point where they wan to disable/remove their account.... This is NOT ideal.

I hate micro-managing, it's terribly time consuming and it's not a catalyst for success. But, we have lots people reading this site and there are people that want to do business with us and we just will not be able to tolerate the toxic nature (posts/comments/language) of some members here.

Bumping this post:

We would like to remind users that if they receive any threatening or unwanted messages, please use the report function and let us know what's happening.

There has been one specific complaint about racism as well. We urge all members to treat each other with respect.

We will *NOT* micro-manage posting but we are now taking a more active role in banning members who cross the line or have a significant amount of valid complaints.

We are working on getting some additional staff on board to help control and monitor things, so we ask your patience when awaiting a response to a report or a help desk request.
