Hello everyone, I'm happy to be here with you all.

After lurking for a few months to read threads and researching the basics of P4P in Tokyo, I am now a new member looking for specific advice. For clarity, I'll detail my situation and desires below.

I am planning a first trip to Japan this coming November. Though the trip will be almost entirely about family fun and sightseeing, I've planned a few hours for myself to solo roam Omoide Yokocho and Kabukicho for drinks and adult entertainment on one night during the Tokyo stay.

I'm interested in spending an hour with an escort and I have been researching my options and logistics to outline a plan. I could use your help.

Tachinbo near Okubo Park are an attractive option to me for a couple reasons: I cannot 100% be sure of an appointment time until the day of because I am going to fit the outing on a convenient night during the trip and not hard schedule it. Secondly, I like the idea of no prior contact or messaging to arrange an apointment. Finally, from videos of walking tours in this area the amount of girls that look cute and seem my type (alternative, colored hair, dark street fashion wearing, kawaii types) seems really promising.

Now I've lurked enough to know this is not reccomended. There are obvious reasons for this and maybe some not some obvious. I'm here to ask for any users that feel inclined to detail dangers of hiring this type of service. More risk of police interaction? More risk of assualt or mugging? What is the main fear with using this type of service?

I'd also like to invite anyone to share their opinons on a better options considering my above situation and guide me to a plan of success.
Perhaps a deliheru service that has kawaii, punkish, types? Walk in options in Kabukicho?

For what its worth, my Japanese is decent and I am able to hold a conversation for a short time. Im certainly not fluent though.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I appreciate all the effort this community puts into this forum and the detailed reports I've enjoyed reading. I look forward to learning from you all.

Misobake ~

Good luck! Pretty sure plenty of comments condemning street pick ups will follow.

😅 I invite them, since visting this forum I've certainly reconsidered this as not ideal, but still a list of cons for my own knowledge seems helpful. Condemnation will certainly provide that for me and other lurkers considering this option. I have never been to Japan but its been my style in other locations, and excluding potential risks it works really well for my situation. However, at this point I'm almost convinced I need to flesh out a real plan to use a service and will continue to monitor reviews and threads to determine the whens and hows to navigate that. Thanks for taking the time to respond 🙂

If it were me with an only a few hours in Kabukicho, I would check in to a LH and call up one of the many DHs reviewed on this site.

There is absolutely zero upside to picking up walkers. Extremely risky for all the reasons you already mention and likely trafficked slave labor.

Ah Thanks, that last sentence is a point worth considering. I'm currently prowling the threads looking at reviews to find the right agency and taking note of services provided within 30 mins of booking since time is my worst enemy here. Standing out as white gaijin seems risky to be negotiating on the street too so its DH or In Call with an office it seems.

I'll keep scrolling the reviews on DH. Appreciate your response, Mr. Simms

And that many of them are underaged runaways.

Oh? I knew homelessness in Kabukicho included minors but hadn't considered underage SW to be in the open like that. Certainly not something I want to be involved in.

Thanks, Sudsy. From what I've seen you and your advice is highly respected around here so I take it to heart. Actually I was just reading your's and Danbo's review of Yarisugi Circle and I'm highly interested in a service like that. Both your dates sound like 100% my type. Think it feasible to arrange something in Shinjuku with them? Are there other agencies that offer that type of alt girls in the area I should know about?

Right, I understood pretty early on in my research that Tokyo is a different ballpark. I defintely consider your advice as critical information. It seems that street pickups are such a taboo here I find it hard to find even archived warnings so I figured a fresh outline of risks could be helpful for me and especially other lurkers. Thanks for taking the time to read and respond. I wouldnt dream of placing the blame of any misguided action on anyone here and truly appreciate any input.

Yarisugi's compartmentalization is a bit hard to understand. The shop mentioned in our reviews was focused on Ikebukuro, but I think it is identical to the one located in Shinjuku/Okubo, but already has 1k transportation fee included in the prices. The Shinjuku/Okubo branch should also be ok with foreigners.

Since you only have a small window to book a girl you also have to see who is working at that time. Yarisugi has a few alternative girls, but who knows if one that is ok with foreigners is working at exactly that day/time.
The other two shops in that area with more alternative girls are Gingira and Galdeli. Maybe too girly for your taste but both have tattooed girls with dyed hair in their lineups.

Thanks Danbo! In the grand scheme of things im not particularly picky especially since I'm aware I wont have that luxury. Gingara and Galdeli are both on my radar actually. Im a very positive person so Ill be pleased with any cute girl but for the sake of clarity I thought it prudent to mention I do have a thing the eccentric, flashy types. (Especially the metal/goth types)

Regardless, I can probably manage booking a few hours in advance with a hoteheru so I may take that route with a Shinjuku based agency like Gingara.

Mucho gracias for the reccomendation.

There is also a number of soaplands catering to foreigners in that area. Some of them do charge crazy expensive foreigners tax though.
In Kabukicho?! I guess I need to update my google skills. I had assumed Yoshiwara was the sole option for Soaps. Thanks thats something to consider for sure. I can manage aquiring the funds from now to then so its not off the table. To be honest, I hadnt looked to much into Soaps bc full service isnt a neccessity and Yoshiwara just doesnt work with my situation. Nuru has always intrigued me though, so again thank you. 😁

Not really. There's two chains by the same name. Both used to be the same business, but the guys that owned it had a falling out, and they both refuse to give up the name. They both operate branches in the same locations in a lot of places.

The one that uses all hiragana in the logo and the "とある風俗店" tagline is foreigner friendly.

The one that uses katakana and the "Wow! こんなの!?" tagline is the one that's not foreigner friendly.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. That makes sense.
I never looked into it and of course it didn't cross my mind that these are 2 different businesses with exactly the same name....sure, the logos are a bit different, but Japanese graphic design is often not very consistent or good. I just assumed it all belonged together and I was puzzled by the clusterfuck 😉

Definitely not for Japanese people. I used to get propositions on the street daily when I first came to Japan and so did many other girls I know, depending on areas they hung out in. (Ikebukuro is infamous). Just like regular pick up though, probably 99% of the propositions are not worth entertaining.
However as a foreigner, you might attract unwanted attention as you said, and girls might be even less up for it because it might be more scary to them.

I would definitely think so. The only reason Japanese girls would not just go to a deai cafe instead of hanging out in the open around Okubo Koen is if they are under age, don’t have an ID, or both.

Yes, just book through their Shinjuku branch.

Getting 403'd on that link. I can see the line up through the city heaven site and I'm impressed with quite a few of the women on the lineup. I'm going to read what I can find about the booking process, and try to figure out how to access the official website. I'm assuming online is the only option for booking, unless they have a physical location?

Yeah, that makes sense. I was under the impression that some tachinbo might just prefer absorbing the extra risk for the sake of cutting out the middleman of an agency or the trouble of managing an active, reliable, online prescence. Unfortunately as convenient as using their service would be, I trust your guidance. The risk of causing harm and the risk of unwanted attention from the public makes this option less than attractive. As always, Thank you for the insight. I really feel grateful for the kind efforts to educate me on this issue.

Deai cafe achieves all of that though. The men pay some fees to the cafe but those are largely negligible unless you’re dealing with a class A cheapskate.
And there is no online presence needed for deai cafe, it’s in person selection.

Yarisugi is pretty oldschool when it comes to booking. @Sudsy mentioned it, I mentioned it as well.
They have no LINE, don't update Cityheaven or answer to the chat...it boils down to doing everything on the phone unfortunately. Even if they have an online-form, you can be 100% sure that they will call you as soon as they receive it 🤣
