Akihabara, Asakusa And Harajuku

Which places? Those are areas of town.

I think most places that take credit cards will take US Mastercards and Visas, but Japan is still very much a cash country. I'd only expect larger places like department stores, Yodobashi Camera, etc, would take them.

Speaking of Akihabara, I live really close and was wondering about all the girls trying to invite me into the maid cafes. That I just get the cut feeling is a total waste of time but I do see lots of girls hanging out by a KFC area and I read one story on here about going for a walk with an older than 18 girl and just maybe something can happen bbbj is all I'm really looking for.
Anyone fill me in a little?

Not likely in Akihabara.

So many tourists mistake the maid cafe girls for 'something else' --- there are a few that offer massage or even an ear cleaning, but there's nothing going on related to what you may expect from a pink salon.

If you score something from a random girl on the street, that's one thing. But, those maids working for their shops are not offering anything.

There was a story around here somewhere about some shop allowing customers to sleep with a maid... like literally, sleep or rest next to a maid just for the 'feeling'.
That's where the story ends... I will however, double-check some Japanese sites and see anything pops up.

Note: I do spend a bit of time in Akiba, usually on the prowl for new parts or gadgets... I stop by there for lunch a lot plus some shopping on the weekend. I usually talk to a few maids here and there while passing through. (They are definitely more willing to entice non-Japanese into their shops and I have seen non-Japanese girls working as maids recently too.)

Well, I heard in Akihabara you can lie next to a girl in a bed for a certain period of time and she charges looking into her eyes, laying down on her lap, or hugging. My niece (who is now 19 and I am 30) actually did this last year lol.

As for credit cards in general in context to "the industry," they do charge an extra 20-30%. If it's for general shopping, then yes, a good number of big places do.
 
Don't rely on credit as there are often problems processing foreign cards because of the way the authorising system works here.
 
since i live here, i actually got three of my credit cards here. you can either apply at the airport or at aeon stores. all of my foreign friends managed to get the aeon credit cards.
