I really doubt this. I am pretty sure there are some Korean or Chinese ancestors in their blood line. Therefore it is always safer to ask to see their koseki before getting into any closer relationship.

Personally I like to have the girls perform a full 23andMe DNA test before deciding. It's a simple procedure but time-consuming, so you have to be patient. They also tend to produce inconclusive results like "North-East Asian" which isn't helpful at all if ethnic purity is the goal.

Otherwise yeah, just look at the flags next to their names. If there's no flag, assume Japanese or close enough to convince AM's clientele.
