Another example of the seedy entertainment industry.

A school of thought in the community promotes status/power as a tool for attraction, but it is useless if a guy can't build a connection. You have to let the woman know you like her more than a friend. Too bad these guys are not PUA. They have such an advantage and wasted it.

Part of seduction is verbal escalation. Just don't do what this is guy did. He forgot about mutaul attraction and just verbal escalated. It gets you harassment without attraction.

So...
I've been doing a bit of research on the PUA movement. Here's an excerpt from the site, How Stuff Works:

PUAs aren't innate "ladies men," endowed with the physical attractiveness and panache that draws heterosexual women like moths to a burning hot ember. No, PUAs start out as AFCs: average frustrated chumps who have trouble interacting with women [source:Thorn]. "I was so unhappy with myself," Strauss writes in "The Game," summarizing the common plight of the AFC [source: George]. Yet with that displeasure also comes a type of aggression toward women who are perceived as the sexual gatekeepers. Writing in "How to Get the Women You Desire into Bed," Ross Jeffries urges men to go seek and destroy their sexual targets, urging "Let's go to battle, men!" [source:Jeffries].

And when they inevitably lose the battle along the way, PUAs are trained to become desensitized to rejection by transposing the unattractiveness onto the woman. Suddenly, a lovely target idly perched on a barstool becomes a "sleazoid slut" [source: Jeffries]. Or, in the case of the Mystery Method, women are often characterized as nonhuman creatures, such as cats, that can be trained and manipulated [source: Markovik]. Not only does that create protective psychological distancing, but also fosters the notion that women are entirely disposable since they merely represent individual parts to a homogenous mass. At the extreme end of this misogynistic spectrum lies the Gunwitch method, which Strauss describes in "The Game." Coined by a PUA named Gunwitch, the idea is to "escalate physical contact until the woman says no" [source: Strauss]. In January 2011, Gunwitch was also arrested for allegedly shooting a woman in the face [source: Stewart].

The article goes on to document the leaders of the PUA movement as primarily interested in selling their techniques to others.

Hmm, so in my book, the PUA movement is dominated by con men and what my generation called men who could not relate to women, as losers.

4vibes, I understand you a lot better now. You seem to be using these same loser tactics on TAG.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, TAG members are for the most part humane, respectful, and intelligent, all traits that are the antithesis of PUA. Better luck elsewhere-we here are wise to you.

Seriously dude. Let's nip this one in the bud.

This a good teaching opportunity for new PUA. Just because an attraction trigger is employed does not mean it's time for verbal escalation or kino especially when the location is not a bar/nightclub. A PUA must tread carefully given this highly charge environment.

I don't really know what this has to do with @User#16452 's post....
your posts don't really make any sense related to the topic or what people have responded. And not to forget it's the same over and over again. Pua are this and not that... And that basically P4P guys are 'stupid' because they don't have your precious 'pua ' skills. Whatever that is...

Quoting a woman? Funny...

Its a PUA forum. Its not for P4P to troll.

What's wrong with quoting a woman? Or do they not have anything worthwhile to say in your eyes?
Women are known to say things like these and then run off with the same type of guy. Funny... The hypocrisy of women and their sexuality.

This article seems to me quite one sided. the author gives intentions to the people belonging to that movement and isolate some sentences from the PUA literature without their context. It makes me uncomfortable about the whole analysis.

This is coming from a guy who is definitely not a PUA.

My two cents would be that among PUA, mongers, providers, salary men, bankers and priests you will always have good guys and assholes.

Categorizing a whole group as misogynist manipulator seems quite rude.

Ohhh u did not just go there. You're just adding fuel to the fire, and furthermore if your talking about hypocrisy, men do the same as well. Just because some women are hypocrites doesnt mean all women are like that.

Some??? Most men would say majority of women. The facts are the facts. Its just evolution.

Just to clarify who are these men who say this? Perhaps ive been hiding in my man cave too long, because i have never heard people say this.

I scratch my head in wonder as to why you keep posting or even coming back here? You say you want to educate but you never have one positive bit of feedback from this comm. maybe you should spread your 'wise teachings' elsewhere young sensei

Imo this is a pretty good question, and the most plausible answer is that @4vibes has not the slightest interest in what he is saying and no intention of communicating anything to anyone (which also explains why it so often makes no sense at all). Rather he is just seeking attention (the ultimate currency of the internet), some sort of response, any sort of response, even a negative one, even if they are all negative, from the community of anonymous strangers that make-up forums such as this one. This is the actual and original definition of a net troll, someone who posts whatever they think is most likely to draw a response, whether or not they believe it or even care about it. Probably the most common form of such trolling is to try to be as irritating and provocative as possible. That seems to fit as well.

And, of course, there is the constant accusing other people of trolling (though often confused with something else entirely, like being off-topic or disruptive, in his case). That again is a symptom of trolling.

Do I know that @4vibes is a troll rather than the PUA missionary he claims to be? No...just my guess. However, if he is a troll, he is a fairly and increasingly successful one here on TAG, but if he is a PUA missionary, he is a dismal failure.

But in either case, why should we all care?

You think I'm here to convert the hobbyist/professional P4P? I don't have a product for you but still you want to engage me. Unless you want an adventure that will change your view of the world. A personal journey that will test you mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I doubt P4P have what it takes to embark on this personal journey of growth. PUA is still available for those who are still deciding the path of P4P.

I imagine this is how you pick up girls.

The most fedora tipping I've seen, ironically, is on this site.
Mongers enjoy placing escorts on a pedestal and any criticism or "disrespect" is not allowed towards them.
There are mongers here who still use phrases like "M'lady" and "I tip my hat to you".

I know you're relatively new here, Bear, but keep those memes dank, not inaccurate.

As for @roots reggae
That article you quoted is unfortunately biased and inaccurate. To avoid another flame war (you are very close to getting suspended, and we wouldn't want that now would we), let's just consider the following: that people often seek out evidence that proves their claim, rather than taking an objective view of the matter. As someone who used to dislike pickup before I understood what it was, you can trust me that if you dig deeper, there is a wealth of information that has enough criticisms for both sides, rather than this CNN-esque garbage you posted.

About Ailes... I really couldn't care less.
