Hello everyone, I only recently discovered this site a few days ago so sincere apologizes if i'm doing this wrong! I've combed through the threads but can't find one specifically about this topic.
Basically, I was looking for advice on becoming a part-time escort while in Tokyo studying. I am a 5'3 caucasian woman (21). I have lived in Tokyo before, and I speak fluent Japanese. I am blonde and was always popular with the men there. I like casual sex, but have never had sex for money before, so I'm sorry about how ignorant I am about all this.

Honestly, I have two primary concerns. The first one is, of course, safety. For the independent escorts on this site, how do you stay out of dangerous situations? We've all read the horror stories like that American hostess who was murdered by a customer, etc. Especially since from what I've seen, most escorts don't collect personal information from their clients like full names or addresses.
  • Has any escort on here been trapped in a dangerous situation with a client?
  • Is the possibility of violence or danger something that's on your mind before and during the encounter, or do you feel generally safe?
My other concern is legality. Of course I know it's not legal to be an escort in Japan, especially as a student. However, all of the stories I've read seem to be police raiding a bar or club and arresting/deporting the foreigners clearly employed at an actual business, not freelancing.
  • As an independent escort, is there any way immigration or police would catch you?
  • Have there ever been cases of girls being caught and deported?
  • Does it ever make you paranoid thinking police (or your employer or school) might find out?
  • Do police even care about the girls doing this, or do they turn a blind eye?
Sorry for the million questions. Honestly I haven't found any information about this online, and its too taboo to bring up anywhere else, so this site is truly a godsend. Any context or personal experience would be greatly appreciated!

Japan is generally a safe country and for the women that I've dealt with over the years, none of them have been faced with a truly dangerous situation.
I've heard stories about rude, drunk, high and overly aggressive clients - but nothing that became dangerous. We always advise women to walk away from a situation if she detects anything amiss.
Meeting in a public space first is a good idea and then walk to a love hotel or if they are staying in a well known hotel chain, it should be fairly safe for you.
I do advise not meeting people in personal residences or AirBNB types unless it's a repeating client that you know very well.
Other providers can speak up to personal experience, but I've never run into a severe case...
There was a the case recently where a Thai girl was killed by a Japanese man in a love hotel, but that was a very rare case. It's funny, most of reports we see come from Japanese men causing issues with shops...

Working as an independent escort has been done and will continue to happen in all sorts of situations, legal or illegal, depending on your residence status. We actually just covered all of this in another thread that was brought up with a sugar baby recently. (Which has been made private for personal information protection.)

As an independent escort, is there any way immigration or police would catch you? > There's always a chance, but to date, the only people that have been busted are those working in in-call shops such as Chinese massage parlors. Your biggest risk is your residence status, the rest isn't so much of a big deal because the law doesn't have teeth and is very low on the totem pole as far as priority goes. As long as you're not hurting people, you can do your business safely.

Have there ever been cases of girls being caught and deported? > None of the girls I've worked with in 10+ years have been deported, much less even spoken to by police/immigration.

Does it ever make you paranoid thinking police (or your employer or school) might find out? > Protect yourself properly and this won't happen. Don't ever give our your phone number, address or any personal details that could be used to trace back to you.

Do police even care about the girls doing this, or do they turn a blind eye? > Again, if you're out hurting someone, they will start to care. But mostly, they won't care. Plus, the burden of proof is difficult since the police here can't really conduct stings or undercover activities.

Bottom line, we advise you to do you homework and execute safe practices. You came to the right site to ask questions, please feel welcome here.

Thanks.

Edit: I noted the part you speaking fluent Japanese, it's extremely important that you do not advertise in Japanese or attempt to target Japanese men. Doing your business in Japanese raises your risk about 10x higher rather than just sticking to English. Out of everything I wrote above, this part is probably the most important.

If you do decide to wade in, I'll be in Tokyo in Sept (and then all of March next year) so feel free to PM me with rates and some pics...

Shouldn’t it be the other way around... if you want an appoiment you should send an email requesting so. Why are people so self-centered these days and think that everything revolves around themselves?

Because the system won't let me PM her. Any chance you thought for two seconds that maybe there wasn't maybe a logical fucking reason I posted as a response to this rather than email her directly?

The proper mode of communication is to reach out to the escort you’re interested in seeing. It's not on her to contact you.
Moreover, the post is for informational purposes only and this particular person isn't even a provider.

Thank you.
