Asking a provider their JAV name

Some companions at Soaplands such as Versailles have this in their profile: 現在＊＊です or ＊＊女優 or something similar to indicate that they currently an AV actress. I know there are websites that help you match a provider to their AV name. Here are two:

My question is this: If a particular girl cannot be found on these sites, is it bad form to ask them what their AV name is? I suspect it may be a no-no, but I am not sure.

I’d say it’s safe to ask only if the girls indicate in their profiles. The sites are crowdsourced so they don’t have a say whether or not their names appear there.

Cases in point: Koyuki from Versailles clammed up when I brought it up, while Rina from Lions avoided the topic altogether. But Yuzu from Don Juan was totally chill giving me a deep dive into the mechanics on set like fake semen and uncomfortable but camera-friendly positions.

So talking with a JAV girl I was dating from paters. She said it depends on their contract and or their talent company. She mentions some contracts won't allow them to work in the shops or have any publicity besides contract/company approved. So they don't like sharing there name till they have met someone. She did mention some talent companies and contracts actually encourage them to advertise there name. Then there are the girls that did like one or two videos so are technically JAV stars but not really. Plus she says there can be a worry about stalkers. So it honestly just depends on the girl and her situation.
