I'm a big fan of Reiko Kobayakawa: http://xxx.xcity.jp/idol/detail/?id=5356&style=simple

I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's commong for japanese adult video stars to also escort. In the US I know that a lot of the pornstars also do escorting on the side. I'd love to get Reiko for a night but have no idea how to find any info on her.

ive posted a link somewhere here in tag of a site where they have a list JAVpornstars and shops where they fullmoon as an escort.
its all in Japanese. and not really sure if its 100% reliable.
i think its being updated frequently cause the last time i saw. takizawa rora was on the list and it seems she sometimes works in ikebukuro area.
is it gaijin/hakujin friendly? i dont know
1 things for though prices would be 100,000円+
especially if shes a famous av actress and still currently doing vids

Yes, it's common for Japanese porn actresses to work at sex establishments (not escorts).

I looked into Reiko Kobayakawa. She was also known as Kyouka and Sachiko Kondo. There are no sex clubs which has her as a female worker currently.

I too am a big fan of Reiko & had the pleasure of meeting her a few months back at a signing event @ a ABS. Totally by accident just good luck & right place right time. She was very personable & outgoing, we chatted for several minutes. I got the impression she is not currently doing the health/p4p scene but she does appear at one of the nude glamour photo studios every few weeks or so: www.amigo-girl.com . Not sure what is involved as that's not my thing & seems a bit pricey if its just picture taking. If she were ever to deriheru I would be on it like a fat kid on a cupcake :)

Another good site (also in Japanese) is http://avfuzoku.com.

I met Yui Komine last year through a hotel health she was working at and it wasn't super-expensive. A lot of the other AV providers I've been interested in seeing worked for shops that were not foreigner friendly when I emailed them or tweeted to them.

I would say that the chances of a really popular AV star working at a delivery health is pretty unlikely. There's several working at Red Dragon hostess bar, if you are looking for a clothes-on (and expensive) meeting.

I would really like to get it on with Eririka Katagiri, if anyone has any info on her?

@meiji et al, has anyone have any intel on Red Dragon? Anyone ever been? Several times have thought about hitting it up just for the experience but haven't pulled the trigger. Not something to make a habit of, but looks like it would be a fun hostess bar alternative on occasion. Thanks.

She was working at Tora-no-Ana last year, doesn't appear to be on their roster right now.

I've never been, but I talked with Hikari Hino a long time ago on Twitter and asked her if foreigners were okay, and she said "I think so". This was in Japanese, and I'm assuming they aren't going to let you in unless you speak good Japanese at the very least. You could give them a call and ask to be sure though.

I don't really follow this aspect of J pop culture, so I have what is probably a very ignorant/naive question: What, if any, is the relationship between idoru, gravure and AV (women)? Are the distinct groups or different activities/jobs done by the same women or overlapping or ...?

Idols are a 'clean', non-sexual category of 'pop princesses' like AKB48 and Momoiro Clover Z aged from as young as 12 (ugh) to about 25. As well as the male fans who tend to be Akihabara types, they have legions of female fans who 'akogare' them (simultaneously idolize them and want to be like them). They essentially sell sex while being portrayed as cute and innocent, which is key for 'moe' (untranslatable, but something like 'the feeling you get when you see something so adorable you can't take it'). They are strictly not allowed boyfriends, and there have been numerous cases of idols being fired for being papped with a man. They usually move on to other things (acting, solo singing) at around 25, when they 'graduate' the group.

Gravure is glamour photography, usually but not always partially clothed. It's not pornographic (i.e. the model won't spread her legs). It's meant to be titillating and sexy rather than full-frontal. Unlike hardcore porn, you can buy these gravure magazines and photobooks in convenience stores and standard book shops. It's kind of a running joke that idols who have passed their sell-by date and couldn't make it as actresses or singers or who have lost popularity in the aforementioned careers start doing gravure. A few of the better endowed ex-AKB idols are currently in gravure. To complicate matters, idols often release 'photobooks' while they're still at the peak of their idol career, which are essentially gravure photos but more demure, which usually have the girl going down to a bikini at the most.

The idol industry creeps me out because it is so blatantly driven by sex, but insists on marketing these very young girls as underage cuties with no sexual will of their own.

AV is porn, obviously. A lot of gravure models 'graduate' to AV, or do both at the same time. You also get AV stars doing gravure for their pre-existing fan base. Ex-idols sometimes make the immediate jump to AV but this is super-rare, and brings in megabucks for the 'corruption of the cute and innocent' angle (which I personally think is hot ;) ).

hi everyone, so what is the final verdict on this? Is there an agency open to foreigners? i'd love to meet up with one of these AV idols
Thanks

I have used landmark l-mark.com on one occasion. It is mostly AV stars but it is very expensive.

Pururngang has a small handful of AV talent on their roster but you need advanced Japanese to use their services and I can't guarantee that they will take you. I believe a good portion of the Ikebukuro hotel health services do have some AV stars but they don't take gaijin and if they do, they don't openly advertise that they do. If they for some reason like you (which has been the case with me so far in that part of Tokyo), like you show you have street smarts in regards to the business and got the communication skills, they take you. I also believe that Cutie Bomb (1919ikebukuro.com) does have some stars as well but even though they say they don't take Gaijin, me and a short number of other members here have been an exception as long as you have advanced Japanese communication skills.

I believe at some point Happy Berry also had some AV stars working for them as well. But use the site that Meiji provided and you can know where you can get some AV talent. A good percentage of them will be working in Yoshiwara but they can be expensive and if in the event they do accept foreign customers, expect to pay a surcharge.

The answer, as with everything in Japan, is 'maybe'. It depends on the org, and the girl, and how good your Japanese is. I've contacted some places via email or phone and they were more than happy to set up a date for me, and many more places that either ignored my email or told me flat out that foreigners aren't welcome. The hotel health place (referenced earlier in the thread, but now closed) where I saw Yui Komine had zero problems with me, and my Japanese is pretty horrible.

My advice would be to check fuzokuav or one of the other sites where AV escorts are meticulously tracked, and if you find a girl you want to see, email or call the shop and ask them if foreigners are okay.

Thanks Meiji. I assume I have to write in Japanese; so they can understand? Will Google translate help? haha, i speak no Japanese at all to be very honest

Sux for us that cant speak Japanese but want to contribute to the "economy"....
Maybe someone can go as a group? :p

It's not about economics, but about communication. It's not just communicating with the reception staff but communication with the girl, too. Money does not always talk though some soapland providers like Landmark and Fantasy do a gaijin surcharge. Just because the staff may like you, they can't guarantee the girls are willing to take you as a customer which is sometimes the case. Like some girls may not like things a certain way and they may not be able to express that. It's for their safety and to avoid misunderstandings.

You could email them in English, but chances are they wouldn't respond. There'd be lots of people interested if they did, though.

Some places relax their 'no gaijin' policy when the economy is rough. From the amount of reviews I've seen come in here, it's very relaxed right now, all things considered. Japan isn't a 3rd world economy, so there aren't a ton of girls begging for US dollars or whatever. Between that and the polite racism that exists in Japanese society against non-Japanese, there's not a great chance that someone that speaks no Japanese (and doesn't make an attempt to do so) is going to get serviced at a place that is a Japanese shop.

pretty clear. I will give it a try. Thanks a lot
