My tourism level Japanese would probably annoy people, so I don't want to be a hassle. I was there for about 3 weeks late last year after the border opening and had some fun, but meets with locals were pretty elusive. I'm open to all types and ages, as long as they're fun to be around and aren't set on running around Tokyo making fools of themselves, don't find joy in making the locals uncomfortable, and don't want to record every single moment because they fashion themselves as some sort of 'content creator'.
Normally I'd just dive right back in, but I'm realizing that many of my old contacts went back to their home countries during the pandemic and haven't felt like Japan will be worth it to come back and build up their networks. So I went from having 3 go-to's, to none.
Any advice would be appreciated. I'd owe you a beer.
