Casual encounters/deai apps queries

Hi there, newbie here =)

Long story short I am visiting Japan soon and would like to try my luck with the deai apps - PCMax Happymail etc. (I reckon my Japanese skill is decent enough to utilize them, or so I hope haha)

However, all the sign ups require age verification - either IDs or Japanese credit cards.
As a tourist I am unlikely to have access to Japanese credit cards, but am wondering if they accept foreign IDs in English for verification... I understand it might be a weird/silly question but has anyone been through a similar situation?

Also just in case any alternative recommendations for similar apps/websites/message boards would be fantastic =)

They also require verification from a Japanese cellphone and I don't think a tourist SIM will work. Do you have access to a Japanese cellphone?


Similar apps? I've heard some good things from using HelloTalk - just create a profile and write a few mentions. Takes a bit more work.

Unfortunately I don't have an access to a Japanese mobile - but I will try the other options including your suggestion as well.

Just a quick update, I got through the verification process with PCmax and Jmail with non-Japanese ID =)
