Hello, All!

After reading more than a few reviews here, I've decided to try an establishment or two here in Tokyo (namely Hipness and Thai Maid). My problem is that they seem to demand that reservations be made over the phone. I've lived here for a few years now and speak the language, but due to my reclusiveness, I have had little need or want of a phone. Is there any way to manage things without a phone, or must I bite the bullet? Follow-up question, does anyone know what such calls would come up as on a phone bill for, say, a pre-paid phone?

Thanks!

You can also do rental phones at the airport kioaks. I always go there to pick up a SIM card on arrival - $40 or $1500 phone bill?

You can order one online and have them mail it to you too. Search Phone Rental Japan, most sites do the same thing and are mostly the same price.

The numbers you dialed would not be appeared on a phone bill even for postpaid phones.
Good luck!
