Did I Do This Wrong?

So the other day I decided it was time to try out my first escort. I went with JK Style after reading about them on these boards.

I had the afternoon off so I decided early was best to get it out of the way and not being nervous about it all day. I phoned about 11 or so and asked if the provider spoke English. He said a little. I asked if I could reserve for Noon. He said to check in and call back.

So I went to a love hotel in Kabukicho and phoned back. It was about 11:45. I rented the room for 2 hours. Then I called back JK Style. I got a different person on the phone this time. He didn't speak English so well so we used both a smattering of English and Japanese.

After informing him of the hotel and room number, he said he would call the room phone. He did and he told me that Eri-chan would be available at 2. I informed him A) the room was only for 2 hours and B) I didn't have the time.

Both men on the phone were very nice but I think after a bit of a discussion about getting a girl there earlier (They said maybe after 1pm) I asked to cancel. He seemed to get a little short with me after that but I may have been projecting. I never once got upset and even said I would try again in the future.

Anyway, tl;dr Should I have booked the room for longer and expected this? I assumed since I asked about noon someone would be available. This is probably a little paranoid but I'm also worried they have my phone number now and think I'm a time waster. Honestly I feel like I wasted time and money on the hotel room but it was cheap enough to not be worth being upset over.

Oh, and also, the site advertises 2.5k for Kabukicho 90 minutes, but I was told 2.9k.

Not a great start with my foray into p2p (tho I've had an ero massage this month). I'm more upset with myself but I'm not sure what I could have done differently.

The short answer:

You should have booked the love hotel for longer.

Let's look at it from the provider's point of view. They are a business that relies heavily on supply and demand. They schedule the number of ladies according to what times the demand is high.

There is also the risk factor in this business. Until you are known to be reliable, the company cannot risk holding an appointment time for you. If you are new to the company, I advise calling the evening before. They will still tell you to call the next day, but you have reduced the risk factor. Then, the day of the encounter, call again, as early as possible in the morning. They will still tell you to call about an hour or two earlier than the requested time. You have again reduced their risk factor. JK Style will then inform you of possible availability.

They will tell you to call when you have checked in. In my experience with this provider, once I check in, it's always been 10-20 minutes later when the woman arrives. You should count on three hours, just to make sure, especially at first. As you become known to them, you may be able to reduce that time.

As insurance on your part, you should have a couple back-up providers in mind. Still, two hours is taking a chance.

Better luck next time.;)

Thank you for the advice. I'm probably going to let a few months pass before trying this again. I did have some back-up in mind but the experience unnerved me so I decided just to get some ice cream and call it a day.

Sounds like a mixup to me. They only have one guy who speak English there (Aoki-san?) And his English is really good. But I have never been asked to check-in without a confirmed booking. Are you sure they weren't asking you just to call back with the location of the hotel? I have only ever checked in after confirming the booking around the time the booking is due to start.

As for the price, I don't know what your Japanese is like but maybe you missed some terms and conditions (maybe the price you saw was only for rainy days or only at certain times etc) or maybe you were looking at just one part of the price or something.

I've never had this issue with them either. The flow is like this for me:

  1. Call JK Style in the morning and book a girl for the afternoon / evening with a general time range (e.g sometime between 4 and 5) Staff instructs to call one hour ahead to confirm the appointment.
  2. Call an hour before the scheduled time. Staff confirms the actual time she is available. If it gets pushed back or the girl goes home early, whatever , they explain what happened and offer alternatives.
  3. Check in at the designated time and tell them the hotel and room number.
  4. Driver calls when he gets to the hotel with the girl to confirm the room number.
  5. Girl comes up, fun ensues!

I guess mine was the oddity. Oh well. I'm certain they wanted me to have a room first to make sure I wasn't a flake. I wish they told me a time, tho. To be honest I almost decided to cancel my evening plans and wait until two, but the thought of killing two hours in that hotel room didn't appeal to me as well. I'm sure it came down to being my first time. Unfortunate my first time wasn't any fun at all.

Thanks for the replies!

Yeah, I love JK but I think they are a bit advanced for your first time. Maybe try one of the more foreigner friendly places first.

Jaaz flow is exactly correct in my experience as well.

Surprised the honorable MacMackerson finds JK advanced. IMO Aoki-san welcomes newcomers, but does require that you go through each step properly. When I called exactly on time, for the morning call, the afternoon call, and the love hotel call, he complimented me, saying I was like Japanese.

@roots reggae
I hear you but I think it can be a bit much for your first Japan p4p. Aoki-san is off to karaoke at 8PM so if you do a late booking and some issue crop up there is no eigo support.

Also, you can call JK with a list of 4 different girls only to be turned down because they don't see gaijin. A little disheartening.

Still it is my favorite agency in Japan!

I've never used JK Style but most Deri-Heru and similar places have some nickel and dime fees tacked on to the base package.
Looking at the JK Style site there's a 2,000 JPY Member's Fee (that's a one time charge for first timers) and also a 2,000 JPY fee to request a specific girl - the first would definitely apply in this case and the second would if you requested a specific girl.

There's also transportation fee but that's listed as free for Kabukicho.

Reserving for the first time at a place with only an hour before your appointment is cutting it pretty tight so that might have added to the confusion.
I'm also not sure what the flow is at JK Style but for almost all places I've used you get a locked-in appointment (the girl's name and start time) before you check in at the hotel.
The only times I've been waiting for more than 5~10 minutes at a hotel is when I specifically check in a little early just to chill out before the girl arrives but I prefer hotel health/imekura (where you check in at the office and pay there then bounce to the hotel to meet the girl) to straight up DeriHeru so things might be a bit more streamlined.

Things are always trickiest the first time but I've found that once you're used the same service a couple times it becomes super easy. Its just getting the hang of their flow and how they operate.
Hope next time is easier!
