Her website asks for a 5000 Yen deposit, which really isn't a lot. But my thinking is almost any time a deposit is involved, that shit is a scam.

So my question I guess is Manami actually legit? Have you all paid this deposit before?

Manami is 100% reliable. She has unfortunately needed to adopt this practice because of the number of short notice/no-notice cancellations, but she is long established and perfectly trustworthy.

I would quite honestly leave Manami alone in a room with my wallet without a second thought - and I wouldn't leave my wallet alone with any of my coworkers.

I've never heard of any TAG escorts asking for deposits, so I guess this is a new thing they're doing the prevent no shows or last minute cancellations?

Are you talking about the Manami TMK that has many reviews here?
I've seen her before and would not have a problem trusting her with a deposit. So im sure it's not a scam unless someone has stolen her branding and website.

It's becoming a thing among indies (not just TAG) here - there are the usual tourists who misjudge travel times etc. which is all understandable, but there are also some jackasses who make bookings with no intention of showing up. Sometimes they they think it's funny, some are intentionally harassing a specific lady for some reason, and there are also allegations that a particular agency is trying to use this and other tactics in an attempt to force the indies to join their group.

Yeah, I totally get it's for ensuring that someone is serious about the meet.

It's just still. It all has a kind of sussyness about it.

I've seen Manami, didnt pay the deposit because it was before adopting the measure, but i can asure you she is amazing and she is 500% legit.

You cannot go wrong with her, it is literally impossible.

As others have pointed out, this measure was adopted because of the silliness of clients who book up slots (blocking others) and then cancelling at the last minute.
The process is completely legit and if you can't accept it, you don't have to book her. Yes, people have legit reasons for cancelling, but post-pandemic visitors to Japan aren't so respectful of time or considerations.
(She has three options for people to pay a deposit, none of them are suspicious or anything that would break the bank...)

But don't call her a 'scam', that's so far from the truth... given her overall history.

More importantly, we wouldn't let a 'scam' service to be promoted here.

The only thing sus around here is your level of intelligence.

I think that's crystal clear, nothing suspicious about it.

Thank you very much for all your support. I truly appreciate it.

I wish I could do less steps to arrange a date, too. But reality bites... I may change my policy at some point if I see another problem by asking a deposit. However, I greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
All I can do in return is providing the best possible time when we meet and don't make you feel any regret to pay upfront.

I fully understand the need for the deposit the only thing that makes it difficult for me is in the US I used to use cash app. The thing about cash app was it was semi anonymous. Meaning the girl couldn't see my information. For me it has never been about the donation it's the remaining anonymous part. Over here it's most PayPal or other methods that show my full name not a fan of that.

Exactly, this is biggest issue for me. Because of my line of work, Google my name and my whole life is an open book.

Again!

Her page clearly states its an anonymous type of deposit.

Could be Amazon coupons or something else that can be distributed anonymously.

So name an anonymous way to send money that she would not see a name in Japan at least.

Each of her deposit methods never shows a real name. I've seen all three and I don't see how your real information could be exposed to her directly. Just not possible unless you leak it yourself.

Edit: 2 of the methods are gift cards that you can buy and send online - neither of which reveal your real information. The third method is by credit card via a PCI DSS compliant payment processor. Your card info/name are processed in a standard secured checkout environment, but that info isn't passed to the end payment receiver.

Yes, it is a gift card, not the actual bank transfer.
All I will see from a deposit you send is your name that you type, not your real name. It doesn’t even show your email address.

As much as you don’t want to reveal your real information to me, I don’t want to pass mine to you, either.
If you have any questions, please ask me directly when you book. Thank you.

And with that, I'm going to lock this since this isn't the place to continue to discuss this. Please contact @Manami TMK via her site for more detailed questions.
