Putting aside all other pitfalls and risks, the ideal way is to establish her own brand with website or whatever she's comfortable with. She should not have to lower herself to streetwalking.

I just had a conversation with a visiting escort today about why she never tours in Tokyo --- there's just not a market here for touring anymore. Not with the all the options available from Japanese shops and resident ladies with their established presence.

Well maybe its also because the "touring" escorts charge even higher multiples!
But of course if they can get clients at those prices in, say, Dubai or Singapore, then no need to come to Tokyo indeed

Correct. Most of those escorts are brought to Tokyo by their clients. Because guess what, nothing of their preferred caliber is available here. (no offense to those here, this is the client's words, not mine.)

It seems like NYC escorts are on top right now, they are raking it in, literally...

That's kinda stating the obvious... it's a dating club, not a job. But, the income is still taxable and should be reported. ;)

Yes, i mean, married Japanese people don't have sex, so why would foreigners who are married to Japanese be expected to have sex with them?

Not correctly seperating the garbage on the other hand, leads to a permanent ban from Japan.

Great point. I started at one just one week fresh into Japan and i really enjoyed it. Classy atmosphere, kind people. Pocket money varies but can likely keep a girl alive.
They also generally really push the newer girls, so if she is cute she should be able to get a date.

The only reason you have ever heard of that case is that violence against women and sex workers, especially Western ones, is so very much rarer in Japan than elsewhere. It was huge international news largely because it was such an anomaly.

Any sex worker who can tolerate the risks of violent customers anywhere else in the world should be way more than comfortable working in Japan, both back then and today.

Because people are not smart? But as already other-where stated married people in Japan do have sex, just not with each other.

Or at least to a severe put down by the local gomi obasan which could be even more painful experience.

Currently I work at a skateboard shop doing translations for business company websites. （non-adult）
I also make money farming in the countryside and selling vegetables all over. ;)

I have a new born child now and my wife wouldn't be too keen if I was in "the business" so please rest assure.
