Has anyone ever been in trouble with the law?

Its not said they are girls with a fake marriage though. They could be mailorder brides.

To me that's mostly semantics. :p

In both cases the girl probably runs out of the door as soon as the PR is ready.

Still happens. Omiai agencies are basically the same in a way once removed.

And marriages proposed by parents are still a thing with the better folks...

Right, I realized after I posted that even I meant to indicate both arranged marriages AND omiai that I might not have been clear.

I love how this went from getting in trouble With the law to blowjobs, to immigration.

Haha, any Saturday night, ammarite?

Joking aside, as someone who is undergoing an immigration process (married to a US citizen) I can attest to just how crazy long and expensive it is. Age difference does come into play, as well as country of origin amongst other things.

It surprises me that they have the K1, which helps "fiancés" move to the US faster and a lot of people use it as a "try before you buy" VISA while they make us married couples wait twice as long. Such a stupid system.

Also blowjobs are the bees knees. Love em' they're the greatest and always make me feel like I'm the star of my own porn movie.

Back in my home country i got to know a few women who could qualify for the "post order bride" label.
They had kids and mostly stayed together with the husbands they came over for. Their marriages didn't seem much different from other couples who are long time married and probably are mainly bind by their children.
I guess for some women, having a husband who works and provides for them and agrees to send some monthly money back to their homecountry is much more attractive than getting into sex work once they get the proper visa or trying to get a normal job in a country with a language they haven't totally mastered.

Actually me too. The ones who got married to country boys seemed, for the most part, to spend their lives just as you described. The ones who moved in to marry someone in big cities usually got up divorced as soon as they got their PR or new passport.

The going rate is supposed to be only from 300 thousand to half a million to get you married and with a spouse visa.
Wow, that seems ridiculously cheap (assuming in yen).
In Australia I've heard of Chinese girls paying $100,000 (8.7million yen) for a sham marriage until PR.
In fact a similar deal was offered to my Dad (divorced), but he refused and honestly, I don't think he would agree to a sham marriage no matter how much money was offered  .

That's very interesting , thanks. I start to think that maybe my divorce costs could be offset later on by a few sham marriages...

It's costing us around 1,500 USD for me to come to the U.S.
500 something initial fee, 200 something at NVC, 200 something for the green card, 200-500 for the medical (depending on shots needed)
Plus traveling and courage.

And maybe a ladder or rope to go above The Wall (Pink Floyd playing now) in a few years

Yes, in yen and I agree it's pretty cheap. But it was also hinted that money alone would not be the only payment so therefore my dirty mind assumed some regular hanky-panky was in the books too.

Such a fucking shit system. WHen I came here I came on a tourist visa, a month later I had my spousal via, cost me ¥8,000 (~US$80)
