Hey, I am a 19 year old male from Norway who are in Japan for a few weeks (my first time in Japan). I know literally no Japanese and need help with where to go to buy sexual services, and I'd prefer somewhere that unofficialy offer full service. I am a virgin (not sure if that changes anything?) and have a budget of about 60-70k yen. I am currently living in Tokyo, but will also be traveling to Osaka and Kyoto.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I lost my virginity in a (Kyoto) soapland, so I may have something to say about this trend.

Even putting aside my specific love of Japan, the Japanese sex industry has an aura of safety and general friendliness to it. Sure, there are gaijin-unfriendly places and it's not cheap, but the rules are clear as day, and following them gets you what you want with a little common sense exercised (i.e. don't follow touts). It's still a bit sleazy (that's the nature of the business), but it *feels* less dangerous to play in than, say, comparable scenes in other countries (even developed ones). That feeling of security, even if it's a little bit illusory can be priceless for a lonely guy who doesn't have lot of experience or luck dating.

Plus, there's the thrill of being in a "foreign" place, where nobody else knows or cares. As to why so many choose to lose their virginity, I can only speak for myself, but I don't really have time to interact much with girls because of school and thus I am very inexperienced with girls. Although that doesn't change the fact that I want to experience sex/a girls company. Japan just feels like a very safe country to buy sexual experience because everything except FS is legal (I do want FS tho. so gotta go a little outside the law), I was considering the netherlands, but I was already going to japan with my friends so i thought why not try it here.

Soaplands are great of course, but imo they are probably too over-the-top and a bit intimidating for a virgin and especially one that doesn't speak Japanese. Even for an experienced monger, a soapland can be a bit of a challenge.
