Love Hotels are just short term rooms from 2 hour to 3 hours on average with longer stays possible. You just browse the hotels and choose one that has room you like (by looking at the pictures in the lobby) Some you pay first, some you pay via a machine in the room. It varies.. but not complicated at all.

As for girls... having a LINE account is the most popular way to communicate. If you're going to book through an agency some of these require a phone... but most girls are okay with email or LINE. It just depends who you plan on seeing....

Yeah, last time I actually used my phone to call a girl... it's been a lonnnng time, haha. If we use any voice contact, it's through LINE's calling option. 98% of our communication was via text messaging in LINE or SMS/iMessage.

Thanks for the explanation :D if an agency requires to call, do i need a japanese number, instead of my personal one?

They usually do require a Japanese number; but at least ask first... Some may allow you to check into a hotel and then call to confirm you're there.
