I always think ladies love clothes so much, you get amazed to see how many different clothes she wears, even by different colour or something. You take her out and easily find, she wears a brand new clothes, but you, probably wear the same shirt and she might know about that...

What do you think of those highly fashionable ladies, compared to you, you hardly buy new clothes.

I find some men are like that, and the other men like getting new clothes from time to time.

What those men, who don't buy clothes often, see those girls with new clothes every single week, or every month in your office, or ladies you know?

You respect them, how they care about how they look?

You might think of, how messy her home, by some clothes here and there, overloaded?

Do you get to worry something about her?

etc. etc. etc...

I find men...they have certain things they consume, and they don't.
Would highly fashionista with a hardly buy new clothes a bad match?

Should I wear the same clothes with a clothes minimalist?so that I may give better impression to them???

I just wonder...have you ever thought of that???

I find even some high paid elete professional men, wear the same kind of clothes...

Any thoughts?

Guy clothes... meh. When a pair of pants or whatever wears out, I'll go get a new pair.

Ladies clothes, though, yeah. I've got more than will fit in my closet and dresser.

I stick with the basics and a couple of excellent tailors, so I’ve never been much of a clothes horse.
My efforts, however, to eat healthier and exercise more have helped me shed a lot of weight over the past 12 months, which has led me to shop for new outfits again.
When I’m with a special lady, I can absolutely help her shop around with an eye on less trendy, more classic and reasonably priced pieces.
And when things go right, I would absolutely be like MikeH and talk her out what of whatever she’s wearing.

I have clothes older than some of the women I sleep with... fashion be damned. I buy quality and I use it as long as it holds out.

I buy clothes way too often. I have too many shirts, blazers and ties.... but only like three pairs of pants haha. I'm actually trying not to buy anything at the moment until next year. I like nice fitted clothing but I don't really care about brands. I often buy really cheap fast fashion and try to make it look nice.

In terms of women... It depends. I've known girls who loved shopping but others who didn't give a shit. I like girls who are fashionable in general, though.

I don't really like buying clothes, I don't really like the process of going out to buy them, of trying on lots of things for most of them to be uncomfortable or look strange on me. So I tend not to unless I'm with one of my really fashionable friends and we've got a lot of time to try on many things (which then I just sit in the changing room and let her use me like a dress up doll)
(Get your mind out of the gutter boys)
Day to day I'm a t-shirt and jeans kind of gal, and I'll wear both until they get holes in them before I finally toss them out.

I like looking at other ladies when they wear fancy or interesting clothing, I've got lots of fashionable friends who are interested in expensive brand things, and look super cute in everything they wear.
I'd just rather spend my money on travel or experiences than clothes.

(But this thread does remind me that I need to go out shopping to get some more winter things. Now that the cold weather is settling in I need like 5 layers of heat tech I am so cold all the time.)

The Buta has a few things he really likes and he doesn’t give a shit what others think: Japanese selvedge denim from Okayama. Sugar Cane are a great remake of the original 501s. Best jeans in the world. New Balance M1400 made in USA. Best casual shoes in the world. UNIQLO Supima cotton briefs - excellent! Patagonia and Arcteryx are excellent purveyors of functional clothing for the discerning yet casual urban pig. Suits, shirts and business attire? It used to be mostly Hugo Boss, but as the Buta has become a bit Butaesque over the years, he now opts for a more trad look ala Brooks and the like. He likes those ColeHaan business shoes that are actually running shoes. Collaboration with Nike. They look sharp and look expensive too. Horology? Rolex, IWC, Panerai, Nomos.

The only times when I think about woman's clothing is when I wonder how I can talk her out of them.

I guess it matters of how they like themselves? They don't care much of others think...They like what they wear, that's why they wear. Thanks for the top batter comment, always!^^

Thanks to your honest comment. That's very kind of you, open a space for a girl to fit their clothes in..

You sound lovely! I agree. I also think you don't have to spend so much on a piece of clothes, but enjoy how nice to see her in them can be amusing to see. I like a man, enjoy clothing, not just a person who enjoy watching being naked..

It's nice to see a man's comment, who enjoys shopping truely. I think it's fun to be fashionable that fits the environment. I notice seeing a man in an office with a different colour shirt, ties, suit, shoes...glasses, etc...I find them very fanshionista
vibrant, positive personality. A very fashonable, cute girl would be a good match, then! ^^

Thank you for your interesting comment that reveals your personal life style! Yes, some girls are
really into high brands and be fashion icon, as you mentioned, you spend more on travel, experiences can be very common among men, perhaps.

Yes, the temperature dropped and it's very cold suddenly! Please find items that keep you warm and comfy!^^

BTW, have you ever used "hot chairo" heat item
from drug stores? There are lots of variety of choices, you might enjoy during cold season.

Thank you for sharing your fashion preference. Wow, it's nice reading the details of what you like. I guess in Japan, people judge you by what you wear... I didn't know you liked fashion, Warubuta san! You seem to know alot!
Interesting!!!

I buy clothes when I travel abroad, because it's too difficult to locate the things I like in Tokyo, let alone size... I usually get a few things every summer while in Milan, dress shirts, suits and then functional items when in the USA, and casual when in Australia... Morino wool Sweaters are a great for this time of year, they look nice and keep you warm... I don't like to shop so much... I can go into a store, see what they have and what I like or not in 10 minutes or less.... If I'm with a Shopping Girl, then I prefer to give her cash tell her to go shopping with the understanding she give me a personal fashion show of what she bought... the only exception, is panties... I usually buy them for the woman I am dating at the time... I like the raw cut victoria secrets... they look nice and no visible panty lines... :D and last month 10 pairs for $70USD... such a great deal :p

I'm probably one of the worst dressed people here and don't buy clothes for myself that often. My tastes are kinda alternative but I don't look as good as the Japanese bandmen in their expensive boutique gear. I have a bit of a problem with owning too many t shirts but a lot of them were freebies from people I worked with, everyone wants to throw free stuff at me and normally a t shirt is included. Women buying clothes is fine with me, it's all a means to an end really. If we helping them buy clothes and going shopping with them ends up with me taking clothes off them later then it's all good.

Don't flatter yourself, you haven't seen me. I am eternally grateful for the country which lets me wear a suit all the time so I don't need to think what to buy and what to wear.

It used to be mostly Hugo Boss

That was my go-to for more than a decade before their quality went down to the gutter. Now I just get suits done for me when I visit Thailand. Not that much more expensive though takes some effort to try to find a good tailor.

Pretty much the only clothes I have other than business suits are for hunting. More than three decades old military camouflage gear and still going strong.

Taylor-made suits at Japanese department stores
French neckties (as you know...)
Then the rest mostly from Sakazen, the absolutely un-trendy chain of clothes for big men. Not ashamed!
Don’t bother with watches since I lost mine a decade ago

I sometimes go look around in stores just because it is fun, but I do not think I buy more than two pieces or so a month... I am too picky about small details, the fit and quality etc. I find it difficult to find things that I feel are "good" enough to buy. So I pretty much wear the same clothes all the time... They are nice though!

Thanks for sharing that! It's nice to hear a story of a man, who enjoys fine shopping. And OMG, Victoria secret for 10 pairs $70 USD...yummy deal! ^^Such a great entertainment to undress and sniff them after worn?

You're lucky that you get freebies, alot! ^^
Sure, buying clothes for a lady and you take them off, must be such a fun part!!

Humm..it's interesting to hear about men's fashion kodawari preference. "business suits for hunting" I guess for "hunting girls" right?? ٩( 'ω' )و

Do you get your tailor come to your office and do the measurements and take order deal?It reminds me when I used to be a receptionist, there was an Sri Lankan or Indian tailor guy came to the office and had some clients from the office. Those must be convenient, as well??or you ask for a Japanese tailor??

Oh, I don't wear watches, either over a decade, due to allergy to metals..but apple watch looks hot!
Maybe one day...

Thanks for your comment, it's interesting to read some people buy minimum for very good ones, and wear often. I'm rather don't mind cheep clothes but look good, well fit that I tend to buy more than enough, that maybe I need to learn how to adjust like, being more picky and stick with it. My married friend is like that. She buys fine clothes and wear often, but last long. The thing with cheap clothes is, they don't last long. They worn out quickly. And then, I want to buy new clothes, again... hummm...

sorry, typo for "cheap" . Can't correct it, as my iPhone has an issue editting text here on TAG.

I still wear watches, in guy and girl mode. So much more convenient to just look at my wrist, than to dig my phone out of my pocket or purse. I should get a new men's watch sometime... My 20+ year old Timex Ironman has certainly "taken a licking and kept on ticking", but is starting to look a bit ragged. A Nixie tube watch would be cool, but they're pricey... And they're yet another thing to have to charge every night.

I used to have allergic reactions to watch backs, but since I've gone to watches with stainless steel backs, it's not been a problem.

Taylored anything is the way to go. If you have a good financial IQ, it would not be hard to have a fairly decent wardrobe. Most people buy 6 to 8 different pairs of shoes, have 3 to 5 business suites and various clothes for working out and going out.

As for women, I prefer my coworker that is stylish. She picks clothing that hides her great figure. But she has really nice tastes when it comes to her attire. Her bags matches her suits, dresses, and skirts. Her accessories are carefully chosen. She keeps her hair fixed all the time. Other women were the same three pieces of clothing until they fall apart. Not sure I like that, but they probably save a lot of money by doing so.

As for me, I buy new clothes every month, which includes shoes, suits, shirts, pants, jeans, and whatever I can think of. But I’ve run out of space and I probably will have to quit my addiction.
