Hello TAG community,
I've lived in San Francisco, LA, Chicago and New York in the US. a little in Paris and Berlin.
Late 40s, fit (gym, yoga, run, dance, eat well).
I just moved to Tokyo and looking to get to know the counter-culture scene better. In the US and EU I knew my way around, and friends would introduce me everywhere I go.
The Japan scene doesn't seem connected to those scenes, especially for a poor Japanese speaker.
Happy to pay a guide a few times around the sex/fetish/bar/party scene, or wingman folk out in the night until I get oriented. One of my favorite experiences here was stumbling alone across a basement, unmarked, mistress bar with a birthday party upstairs, and being invited to join, followed by bar hopping with the birthday couple across nichome.
I'm a bit shy until I know the lay of the land or get tipsy.
Not against P2P, but not looking for that. I get hit on most nights on go into bars in Tokyo, by relatively conservative women.
Just starting my Japanese learning.
