And something tells me that thousands of others probably had the same WTF moment when seeing that sign.

Actually, the Yakuza who paid for the sign certainly love Kabukicho.

For many, a night in Kabukicho is similar to, say, scratching at a scab. Sure, it might tickle and feel good to scratch at it a bit, but before you know it, you're bleeding everywhere and regretting you ever touched it.
