Despite the title of this thread, I have no judgement of men wanting to have sex with young girls. We all have our own quirky fetishes that get us off. It's actually having such illegal sex where the line is crossed.

With that said, I think the two main things that go into it is that Japanese men, like most other cultures, are obsessed with young women. There's a biological argument that men are going to be attracted to women of child-bearing age, and virtually every country has such obsessions or fetishes (see: your Catholic school girl, cheerleader, etc, etc,etc).

The other part is Japanese culture has an appreciation for the small and delicate and the cute, and in part because of that many men want their women to be small and cute and innocent.

Simple answer? It sells.

As much as makes stomachs turn for most people, there's a subset of the population that chase after this kind of material and the media companies want to cash in on it.

In reality, it may not be the best thing visually, but I'm 100% certain this better than supporting illegal porn produced in someone's basement.

And yeah, that link you posted.... kinda made me feel uncomfortable looking at it.

Every man has his childhood dreams. Some of them stay pursuing those fantasies - be it to be a pilot, to be a president, to be a revolutionary, to make all women beautiful and eliminate all men taller than 5'5"...perhaps it's one of those. I don't know. I feel uncomfortable with it, too, as I get older. I'm not sure if it is a cultural trait of the Japanese.
