I handed him the money and stopped him from counting out change for me. I wanted him to keep the change and leave. I could see a second guy in a suit around the corner. I wasn't sure if it was a hotel employee or another Kagayaki person. I hoped it wasn't the concierge ...No sign of the girl.
I did not want my neighbours to see me conversing with these dudes. And this is another aspect of Kagayaki's service that I had forgotten. Customers must read through a cartoon page of rules and confirm agreement. (Actually, I hadn't forgotten this - When I made the appointment, I tried to explain that I had already used the service once and knew the rules but they weren't having it). Apparently, in my eagerness to get the guy to leave, I scanned the instructions too quickly, so he took me through the main points verbally. Aw fuck. Just leave already.
Finally, Ms. X joined me in my room and we closed the door on her male companions. She was clearly the girl from the website and she seemed to be the age that the website said - I have the impression that Kagayaki is very "honest" in this respect. But she was dolled up in a way that didn't do it for me - Big fake eyelashes, heavy makeup, unnaturally dyed hair. It's a matter of personal taste, I know.
