Hi guys.

I couldn't help but to snap this photo how different it was, compared to a nice office profesional lady, who sat in front of me yesterday night. She wore a nice, femine professional suit, but her shoes were in killer heels!!! I thought she works for a foreigner boss. Or she had a date that she wore power feminine heels to impress a guy, and indeed she looked very hot, but very professional. I bet everyone here would definately check her out. (^_-)

Compared to that, me in a normal pumps. Unsexy. I don't ruin myself, wearing killer heels, to kill my feet! It must be too tirey to wear high heels for 8 hours +. Plus, to me it looks inappropriate. Too sexy for work.

But, I thought about what is feminine, what is sexy...

When do you come accross?

Any thoughts?

I don't see that where I work most of the time, but I have noticed more fashionable and higher heels since I've been going to the Roppongi area more.
It draws attention, but maybe the wrong attention in some cases? They do look good, but not on all women.

In the US most women who wear heels don’t wear them to work. The keep them in their desk drawer or bring them in their bag. The wear training shoes while in transit. They will wear the heels in the office but only when walking around. Most will take them off while at their desk. The may wear them after work if they are going out. Very few wear them all the way to work, through the work day and then home again.

Indeed, must be seen more in Roppongi! Such a power item for ladies! But, not for work, I guess!

Yes, that's true. I've seen that, as some kept under the desk. Women know how to handle it! I keep my rain boots under my desk, when it rained heavily, and wored when commuting!lol. I hear some Japanese companies, ladies wear pretty high heels all day long. I guess, young - 30's may do, but I bet not much for 40+. 3-5cm heels are reasonably professional looks enough, If more taller, they certainly do give wrong message!

Lol! That would be a welcome change! Usually in my dreams I am a skeletton or zombie :)

Most of the women at my company (an American company) don't even wear heels at all. A small handful do but it's rare. Most of the women wear flats, which just don't don't do it for me. American women are too focused on comfort and too informal for my tastes.

Now, there is one lady I work with that ALWAYS wears killer heels and sexy dresses to work. She's Chinese. I would rock that body all day every day if I had the chance. Sadly I don't so I just get to watch her dangle her heels and walk around bending over to pick up stuff. Our cubicles are next to each other so that's how I get the view. :D

Yea those seems way too high, maybe 8cm heels strikes the perfect balance between comfort and sexyness.

Most Japanese women, or at least in Tokyo, can't walk in heels to begin with. They either do that horrid shuffle/stomp walk or because of their pigeon toe/bow legs they end up looking foolish. Also lots of women here buy shoes that look nice on display but when they wear them it makes their calf muscles clench up like a fist, again making them look foolish. But thats part of a greater problem that for all the time Tokyo women spend in front of a mirror, lots of them simply don't know how they look overall and and up wearing clothes that are just wrong for their bodies.

On another note about wearing heels in the office, years back I was in charge of disaster drills at a client I worked for. Every reminder mail we sent out about upcoming disaster drills, we'd specifically request that the women kept a pair of flats since walking down 40 flights of stairs in heels was dangerous to them and to others. About 10% of the Japanese women followed instructions vs 100% of the foreign women. That meant the Japanese women were slow to deal with getting out of the building and often tripped on the stairs because of their heels and often caused others to lose their balance as a result. Two different times this ended up with people falling and spraining or breaking bones.

Why didn't they just take off their shoes?

Aaahhh, these killer heels in the picture are Christian Louboutin "Very Lace 100" series!!!
I could run as a sprinter if they didn't have the 2 cm high platform:)
I usually do with my Christian Louboutin simple pump 100. (No platform)
Seriously, if you wear high heels all the time,
you don't really feel that uncomfortable to walk in them. Though don't they damage your feet? Probably they do....

As long as the shoe fits properly, then it should not kill your feet... It sounds like maybe you need to have proper fitting done for shoes and they won't kill your feet IMO... what's too sexy for the office ? Nothing is too sexy for the office, except maybe a leather mico-mini skirt... If you are lucky enough to work in an office where Uniforms are not required, then why not dress to impress... It definitely helps keep the office less dull... And Maybe the people that dress to impress like the attention they receive, again just my opinion...
I like to see people dressed nicely... it shows they care about how they look as well as gives them more confidence... The looks they get (good or bad) may be just extra for them...
Fashion seems to be trending in a downward spiral IMO... even the famous brand names keep getting more bizarre IMO..
Don't get me wrong Yuriko... nice flats with skinny jeans is also ....NICEEEEE :D providing the jeans are not too lose...

Wow, indeed, no wonder those lacy pumps were very apealing!!! C. Loubutin's pumps,OMG,I'd want to own one, oneday, but cost fortune!!! Also, she seeme very hot. She could be an escort girl. Her office attire looked so loose, even looked like she had sex with her boss in her boss's room, or had sex with her client!!! I wish I was as sexy as her, though.

They only sell big size? I kinda had an image of narrow European soles by small sizes. majourity of Japanese brands soles have wide soles that they are friendly to Japanese feet, but not much by European high brands.
