Hey TAG community, just got back from Kyushu where i've met and see bbeeaauttiffull girls ( personnal opinion: tanned skins on Japanese girls are just insanely hot  )

Now lets go back to my questions!
Me and a female friend are looking for an Adult cinema/Sex theater to go tonight (its the same things right cinema/theater?).

I've done my research with my friends google and TAG forum but could only find a couple option since it seems like a LOT of them have closed during the past years/decade sadly..
So i only find out about one Sex cinema in Ueno called Okura and an other one called Laputa in Asagaya !

Aaanndd i read some review saying a lot of people will approach you during the session wich is totally normal i guess for this kind of place and will try stuff wich my friends is kind of worried about and doesnt really want to happens.. ill be there with her so i can kindly denied them but how am i supposed to block all of them if one is trying to suck me while an other try to grope her ahaha! I mean i dont really care but spending all the film trying to deny guys from her and me isnt really gonna make this an enjoyable experience right ?

So wich one would you call the more safest for a girl ?
Is there any with more privacy so me and my friend can have some "fun" together ?
I've heard that Laputa has more girls and couples going there so might be the safest choice ?

Also if we are willing to change to a peep show, do you have any recommandation since i found out its hard to find for non speaking japonese ( she is half so she can speak a bit but no fluent) !

This is pretty much the case for a lot of the old popular ones. There a couple that are used for gay cruising and I haven't heard anything Laputa, but then again, I've not looked either.

Okura - Has a reputation for gay cruising and we have an old thread here about it: https://tokyoadultguide.com/threads/okura-theater.8744/

The adult theater isn't my usual scene, so my active knowledge is lacking. I do answer a lot of LGBT inquiries and this comes up often.

I assume that these days most people just view porn on their smartphones rather than going to an adult cinema.

On the train.
During rush hour.
With the volume on their earbuds so high that you knew what they were watching.

I've actually been there (Okura) once with my female friend and its true that once they see an actual girl (and not a newhalf/ladyboy), they will swarm like flies. However, the men surrounding you are pretty respectful with boundaries and won't do anything especially if you just wave your hand to say no.

What's surprising but I hear was also very rare is that I saw a young girl (wearing an outfit straight out of Harajuku, but wearing a medical face mask, perhaps to hide her identity) go in and she started letting men surround her and do some stuff to her. After awhile when too many men were groping, she made some comment that made all the other guys stop and she just let the guy beside her continue while others just watched.

So about Laputa it seems like there is what they called pink movie ( soft erotic adult movies) on certain days of the months but not everytime!

Me and my friends went there but it was a documentary about the raising sex scene in japan and the community about it in the 70s./80s, really good documentary with a lot of archive scene! Documentary that i advice you to see, even thought i understood nothing because i dont speak Japanese but the image on itself were really beautiful and interesting to see (real archive images/movies).

The cinema room was small (maybe 30 seats), with a wooden floor. It seems like what i had in my mind for what look like an old vintage erotic cinema ! Most of the people were men (about 10) and there was 3 girls (mine inclued).
Overall the place on itself and the room seems more like an experimental cinemal, genre and essaie place than an sex theater but still worth the go since all the programation turns around Sex and the owners/staff really kind!

By speaking to the owners she told us to check 2 others places that put erotic movies and documentary about on screen as well :
- しんぶんげいざ in Ikebukuro (i googled it and find a results but everythings is in Japanese so no idea what you can find !)
- Cinema vela or bela in Shibuya ( googled it as well but found nothings, i trust the owner thought )

About Laputa here is what seems like the program that i took in picture if your interersted in seeing what they show ! (also if some one could translate a bit it would be nice for me eheh )

Thank you for the post-report and the additional information shared about the two other locations... Haven't heard of either of those, but then again, I just don't follow the scene closely.
Others may have some input, but we really appreciate your effort to come back and report on your experience.

Both are art cinema, like IFC in NYC.

I just remember Nakajima directed a softcore starring Christina Lindberg (English title: The Kyoto Connection, 1973). She was invited to a film festival in Kanazawa a few years ago where her films were featured.
