I was in the US over the holidays and it seemed to me that there were more and more "providers" who were against seeing black men.

No blacks, or No African Americans would be written on their ad or website. (NBA means No Blacks Allowed, which is interesting in itself because I would think nba would mean mostly blacks and and a few Eastern Europeans)

I was surprised because, 1) it reminded me of Japan and 2) I thought America was more discreet in its racism!

Non- discreet open racism not cool. I much prefer the racism when I have to think about whether or not I'm being discriminated against! I like the intellectual aspect (it's why I read porn as opposed to watching it)

What do you think of this? Is just the girls preference? To what degree does a provider have to limit their clientele before it coming off as discrimitory, racist, or bigoted?

It was like this back in the UK adverts stating, no blacks, no arabs, no indian etc. when I was there. As in Japan where the odd idiot gaijin ruins it for everyone, escorts have a bad experience with a particular race and then stop providing to everyone from that race.

To me, they are providing the service and it's their body so they make the rules. Racism in things like shops, bars, restaurants etc is thankfully behind most countries in the world, but when it's escorting then the woman has the right to decide who she wants as a customer.

Sure it hurts when you see yourself excluded from somewhere, as we all like to think of ourselves as being a nice guy, but you don't really know what they've experienced in the past so can't judge them for it. If you think they are discriminatory, racist or a bigot then just find another.

Yeah, it's distressingly common in the US, but I wouldn't say it's anywhere near the majority of providers. I think many of them are worried about pimps or gang members, so they essentially dump the entire race in order to exclude them (obviously not all pimps or gang members are of one race).

It's definitely a controversial topic for a lot of people in the hobby, but P4P is a somewhat artificial situation. I think if a provider sat down and had a drink with guys before any fun happened, it might be a different story, but she's essentially alone with someone almost immediately after meeting him, so the rules are going to be different. There's providers that won't see guys under 30, either.

There's a lovely looking Black provider on Back Page that states she won't see Black men. So I'm assuming most just won't see you after discribing yourself but some will just say it out flat. That was the first time I saw what you described.

I kinda understand if they don't wanna accept people who don't speak the language/know the rules in Japan. I think we all know examples of rude tourists in major cities and i understand they wanna keep them out.
And some shops don't accept gaijin at all... Well, Japanese customers can make trouble too.. I had trouble with them with paying sometimes. I think most foreigners here are very aware of their weaker position as travelers/short time residents so they are careful not to make trouble. I think it's rather prejudice than racism here...

I don't know for America. In Europe there is the problem that some immigrants are rather unmannered. So some girls will write down something like "only classy white men" which sounds pretty rude.
But age and race restrictions are not uncommon and are indeed in the hope to get "classy" customers who don't cause trouble.
Personally i don't like to exclude people, i'll mail with them and usually if someone doesn't have manners that already shows in the emails and i'll just ignore them.
Another thing about black men is of course that some people think they are all build very big ^^ (which of course isn't true in all cases) and not all girls can take that..

Racism is bad but because it's a very personal service there is not much to do about it. Its not ok if a girl is very uncomfortable with what she is doing.
Its better to find a provider who'll enjoy with you.

I had one awful experience in Macau sauna where I was with a Chinese girl who very clearly found white guys disgusting. I wish the racism had been more up front (ie before I wasted the money). I don't blame her but it could have been avoided with better information.

I bet the best way to avoid the trouble makers of any race is probably for a girl to raise her rates.

I think it's interesting. If I saw more adds that said no handicapped people, or no fat people, it might be different.

I may have the misguided idea that if you're going to be in the business, you can't be that picky. But I agree the safety thing is an issue you might not see in other business transactions.

I believe that if some of these providers put their mind to it, there may be more intelligent ways of screening their clientele, I.e p4111 or phone calls, but maybe not.

I think this is really, really bullshit. When doing P4P in Japan as well as other countries (when I'm in the US/Europe etc on business), if I see the provider says "NBA" (or confirms it over phone before meeting), I avoid them/stop the deal.

(despite not being black).

Especially in Japan, WTF? We're all filthy gaijin, it makes no sense to deny people like this...

It's been multiple times I went with escorts and discovered during the session they were racist. It's a strange situation, because it's not clear in a few minutes how deep it is and if you assess correctly.

One super-cute escort was really upset about the arabs...only her boyfriend was arab, but she said "it's not the same" lol
