I don't know if anyone experienced this before. Currently I am in Tokyo and I've made a reservation for a deliheru escort this coming weekend. Ivr made reservation in my country before coming. Problem is I realized there's no freaking way I can use my phone as I cannot get voice data (BIC staff told me I can only apply if I am long term resident) so the only way is to use public phone? The only public phone I spotted is in busy subway of Shibuya station. Any advice would be useful thanks

You can purchase a Voice/Data SIM from a vendor called "Telecom Square" in Haneda Airport's International Terminal.

There are plenty of mobile/portable WiFi rental shops that have real store fronts or offices you can go and purchase/pay/return after you have arrive in Tokyo. There are also visitor SIM cards that the usual electronic chain stores will sell. I am surprised Bic Camera staff didn't just point you to one of the visitor SIMs for data.

IF you need voice though then you have less options and they typically have expensive data plans. If you have Skype or something you can use to call Japanese phone numbers then it's probably easier? Unless the escort blocks calls from unknown numbers.

He asked for a sim that does voice, not just data. Thus, the response from the Bic Camera staff is correct. Can't get a voice sim from somewhere like Bic Camera without the resident status.
(Other options pointed out above this post were made available...)
